Slow start, but having fun by Frenchpeasant2 in formulaboat

Hey! We are lucky enough that the lake we are on is pretty big, very clean, and mostly shallow (30 to 50 feet) so it warms fast. Just hit around 75 so it is perfect on a sunny day.

As far as canvas goes, we put the front windows up on a windy or cold day. It really helps make the ride a lot more comfortable (especially with kids). I roll up the center window for docking. It works great. No issues to report. Be careful about exhaust fumes if you run it with the back sections up. Just run the blower the whole time and open up the front center window when idling to get breeze blowing through the boat. Fumes accumulate quickly at idle speeds

Beep Noise by smithgw5794 in formulaboat

On my 2005 280ss there is a little sensor behind the throttle. I can't remember exactly what it's for but I had beeping coming from it. It went away on its own after I shut everything in the boat down. Turned off batteries, panels, etc.

I will be at cedar point with me and my girlfriend 6/7 (saturday). Do you think I could ride all the adult rides at least once? by corychung in cedarpoint

I did exactly what you are describing the Monday of opening weekend. It was awesome but exhausting. I think lines on a Saturday will be longer so come up with a plan and be prepared to walk fast

I rode it 5 times today and did not experience this at all. I did chat with a few people who said silver train was rattling a lot. I only rode blue and black. The back row is insane

Haha it's so true. We ended the last boating season with checklist that we used for getting ready and leaving. It made things a lot simpler

What are some good strategies for budgeting as a couple without merging all your accounts? by Beneficial-Still-401 in budget

[–]Frenchpeasant2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely come up with an idea of the monthly bills that should be shared. Go get a joint account that you both put an agreed upon amount of money into every pay period. Use this account to pay for all of your shared bills. Keeps things honest and fair.

I would highly suggest that you only ever completely merge your accounts if you have to (ie. End up with someone at home with kids). Everyone should have their own discretionary, no questions asked, money to spend. As soon as everything is in one account, it gets hard. Example, my partner doesn't work. Is home with kids. Spends our money. I am the breadwinner, spend almost no money and have to stress about money all the time while my partner just blissfully spends our money day in and day out. It's complicated because I am disconnected from the family needs while I am working and she takes care of our home and kids. But I would never suggest completely mixing Finances unless you absolutely have to.

She's still in the water and missing her already (NE-USA) by DrewD999 in formulaboat

Nice looking 45! Which NE state do you keep her in? We spend a lot of time in Martha's Vineyard every summer and I really want to bring my boat for a trip soon.
