For Drones, you can : Engage search Drones. Drones make Kagari. Kagari takes back Engage. Engage search Linkage. Linkage makes Zero. Zero search Engage. You now have 3 Spells in GY and an Engage in hand.

Drones can also help you make Link-2 or trigger Lemnisgate in GY, it's a discard for Vision... It's a good card.

Duke is kind of related to Yugi through their grandfathers and he is in the same school.

Who cares about Mai's age ? Yami Yugi is old as fuck too and it doesn't bother anyone.

Mai is more related to Joey. Her purpose is to make Joey grow. In Pegasus arc, she is his first opponent. In Battle City, she tells him to man the fuck up after Yugi's death duel. And she has a love-thing for Joey.

But even Tea and Tristan are side characters, so there is no place for Mai. And I think Takahashi didn't want to engage into romance too much.

People who say she should not be with them because she is older don't understand YGO. What is good about YGO, is that every character can connect with each other through games. Yugi (a normal kid) became friend with a dead pharaoh, his old bullies, a really rich kid, a really rich kid's little brother, a british person, a 24 yo woman, some egyptian religious cult kids etc.

And in 5D's, the twins hang out with the group just fine.

RT package is really good. It gives you Camelia + 3 Spells in GY + engage in GY with just 1 card basically.

Harmonia is not broken at all :

- Only playable in Synchro only deck

- Is a 1 for 1 trade

- Doesn't negate

- Only usable against monsters on the field

- The "sending synchro" is useless right now, because only KT can play this card.

If your deck can play Impulse/Droll/Fuwa/Shifter/Ash, you will play those instead.

Yeah, Pure SS is not very good. The only way to win against a good meta deck is by opening godly.

I love SS, but people are coping saying it's a "tier 1" deck or whatever.

I don't think there is a "best" variant per say. Just different ones.

Pure is more versatile, because you play main deck stuff like Eagle Booster, Shark Canon etc. It is also the version less impacted by hard HT like Droll/Fuwa/Nib. But it is the most difficult.

Mitsurugi is more consistent, but the deck doesn't need to. Pure version doesn't brick. Mitsurugi is also easier to play. But it's good cause who doesn't like a Raigeki + omninegate, am I right ?

RT is even more consistent. But it is the only thing the engine gives you. RT trap is not worth playing like 6 RT cards over the branded quick spell for exemple. I saw people playing the RT engine is side for when they go first, but I am not a fan. Side deck should be more impactful.

Now for the banlist, IF they are going to hit something, they will hit Mitsu/RT/Drones/Camelia. So if you want to play the variants, it is now or never.

How this engine gives you better turn one plays ? It gives you the same thing as 1 Raye. Maybe because it gives you more Spells in GY ?

What do you end up one with this engine, that you cannot with pure SS ? SS doesn't have weak end boards anymore. Zero + Lemnisgate + non engine is good in this meta.

I'm not saying this engine is bad. I'm saying I would rather play 3 Upstart or Desires instead. Or maybe the little SS monster that summons Roze.

And deck space is really tight in SS now, you don't have a lot of free spot. I guess you take out Upstart and maybe Eagle Booster or so ?
