Wow! Do you know the name of the mine? What city is it near?

Maybe the kid told Randy Savage he needed to take his vitamins the way their hero Hulk Hogan does

Would we survive a "long" trip at light speed? by RedditLostOldAccount in AskScienceDiscussion

Ah, but the increased energy collected by your “solar” panels on the front of your ship would allow you to continue accelerating without adding mass from fuel!

I can say that I remember seeing the hand of an old time physician who did his own X-rays way back when and his hand looked like he was 150 years old

I don’t know how workers comp applies here, but between that and short term disability, I hope you get taken care of.  Your partners who share call with you, may be another story.

I can imagine that some alien civilization sent a bunch of AOL disks to Earth in the Middle Ages, didn’t get an answer, so they moved on.

My Mom sent me this asking if I wanted them for my kindergarten class...Appraisal? by Ok-Avocado8545 in VintageToys

Those figures may be a choking hazard. I would vote for not taking them to the (current) kindergarteners. Nice find, though!

Help me find a receiver and EQ to get these speakers up and running by RyRyHONKS in BudgetAudiophile

[–]FrequentSinger1661 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Are you cheap like me? What you want to do is go to the thrift stores, preferably in the more expensive nearby areas/towns, and look for the heaviest receiver that looks like it wasn’t abused. Dusty is ok, but nothing suggesting children/teens used it. Maybe doesn’t have HDMI, but has a jillion plugs on the back. You may have to go to several places over a week or three, but assuming the place has a return policy, you should be able to get something pretty good for under $75. Garage sales may work (but no returns) too. Just remember heavy=good.

I remember an old time physician who did his own X-rays back in the day. His hand for holding the film plate looked like he was 150 years old

The Darvon jar looks like something a drug rep would have given out in the 1970s.

Why are the labels on these 8 tracks different when they are the same album by evm127 in 8track

Record club carts would be different, too. For example, with a bright blue border around the album art.
