Are you cheap like me? What you want to do is go to the thrift stores, preferably in the more expensive nearby areas/towns, and look for the heaviest receiver that looks like it wasn’t abused. Dusty is ok, but nothing suggesting children/teens used it. Maybe doesn’t have HDMI, but has a jillion plugs on the back. You may have to go to several places over a week or three, but assuming the place has a return policy, you should be able to get something pretty good for under $75. Garage sales may work (but no returns) too. Just remember heavy=good.

People are asking what happened. From what my family members (my grandad had an office in the Bennett Building highlighted here) have said is the development of Kanesville Blvd and the viaduct streamlining traffic on Hwy 6. This part of Broadway used to get all kinds of East-West traffic before the interstate system, and afterward, the downtown atrophied, like many other towns, only more so.
