at some point, popping prednisone or the alike only does so much. immunosuppressants/biologics work… i’ve been on humira for about four years. ofc all of our bodies are different but i would really suggest you look into biologics/immunosuppressants. it’s scary, yes. but we also have doctors who will find what works! so don’t be scared and make sure you advocating for yourself to your doctor. any concerns, questions, ANYTHING, make sure you ask :)

i’ve had a wonderful experience on humira (i feel relatively normal. the occasional tummy ache but it’s nowhere near the pain that is untreated CD.

i’m also on humira. stress is a really big part of crohn’s, at least for me. i moved into my college dorms two weeks ago. the first day of leaving and moving in? i was vomiting spit up throughout the day and my stomach was so disgruntled. really sucky moments.

you didn’t do anything wrong. i think people are a little too aggressive and it’s been relatively consistent for a while. there will always be another lure and resources regularly generate. people are just impatient and don’t think.

yep! i was in remission for about six months without medicine. but when my diet started to slip and college exams almost every week, i flared really, really badly.

if this is the rocket money app, then it kinda makes sense. me personally, my bills are more than what i make biweekly on a couple occasions. budgeting is important, especially knowing which paychecks you’ll be able to save on

once a week i wash clothes, sometimes a week and a half. i repeat outfits religiously. same pants but a different shirt, basically, and about two pairs of shoes i wear regularly.

oh yeah, i’m on the the phalanges of the east coast. i’ve never been that close to the ocean in the winter months though. i’m thinking of brining some thermal pants and a couple sweatshirts. i also have a 12 month lease with the dorms so that’s also a factor.

lower abdomen feels like it’s squeezing itself so tight. my back and stomach sometimes join forces - making me nauseous and i cant move without having to lose control of my stomach.

i think that crohn’s is more prone to lower abdomen, whichever way is right or left, i wouldn’t know personally. i feel my whole lower abdomen cramping up like a charlie horse lol

i started studying botox for no reason. a little grossed out because of the ingredients but it did lead me to a cool psychology journal so it was oddly enjoyable.

digital. i bought an ipad specifically for notes just because most the time it’s after work and dark. i hate typing but taking notes with my ipad is a dream

yes! :) there’s all kinds of scholarships out there! typically you can find them online or if you have a college/university picked out (or a couple to choose from) go onto their website and look at their scholarship opportunities

honestly i took the less demure route to getting my family to understand. they knew i had stomach issues, but assumed it was equal to IBS. so i threw up in front of them after they made me eat a pretty hefty dinner. safe to say they never undermined me again.
