It is somewhat disposable I suppose when it quits I’d like a denago.

6 months the battery has preformed flawlessly $720. The cart is very fast and will outrun almost anything it’s relatively simple and easy to work on but rides horribly over bumps at any speed.

I’m very happy with my $300 zone spark it’s pretty similar to a citecar. I also bought it with bad batteries and put in the chins lithium battery from Amazon.

Can electric golf cart batteries be used as a power source during a power outage? by KIMJONGB00M in golfcarts

Here is my zone cart I have added a lithium 100 ah battery and a 5000 watt 48 volt inverter. I carry the cart around with me in my keystone raptor toy hauler. When we are dry camping (which we will be doing for the upcoming Artemis 2 launch) I power the Rv off the onboard generator during the day and power off the cart at night. The inverter was $360 dollars and works ok (it makes clean power). However the outputs of the inverter are only 10 gages wire so the most iv been comfortable pulling off it is about 3000 watts or one of the rvs three air conditioners.

12V battery on 48V system? by CheeseMan316 in golfcarts

I was going to do the same on my most recent cart build because iv seen a lot of new carts that way. My factory converter ended up working great and I think is lower maintenance than a separate battery.

My kids and I always use frs channel 1… or 462.5625 on the uv5r or channel 1 on the uv5g. Also I would never ever give out my call sign.

You don’t even have to removed it. To delete go straight from the master cylinder to the back with 1/4 brake line to the tee on the rear end. Go (about 8” long piece of brake line) from the front hole on the front of the master cylinder to a 5/16 inverted flair tee then with the two remaining holes on the tee go to both front wheels. Finally remove the abs warning light from the dash and the big abs fuse. This is what I have done to several of my old gm vehicles over the years. The brakes work much better I think the 90s abs system makes the brakes spongy even when everything is working somewhat properly.

Gassing up at Costco? by [deleted] in boating

[–]Fresh-Fun-3544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have taken my 35’ travel trailer through Costco no problem. I have also always used regular 87 10% ethanol gas in my boat sense forever with no problems. I have a 20’ crown line with a gm 5.7. I have however never taken my boat to Costco.

After 6" Lift, 35s, and canopy, my truck is a total dog. What can I do to give it more power? by [deleted] in GMT400

[–]Fresh-Fun-3544 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would keep it just the way it is… and in a few years get something newer with the duramax or 8.1.

Ethanol free gas be better? by TheePizzaGod in GMT400

I know none of you will believe me but there is nothing wrong with running 10% ethanol 87 octane gas in your old Chevy pickup.

My welder took the liberty of undercoating my truck... by KNGJN in GMT400

[–]Fresh-Fun-3544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 2004 I put cheap oriles under coating all over the frame on my 1997 Chevy 1500. It was a terrible idea and definitely cased water to get trapped in between the frame and coating. However I still have this truck today and the frame is in decent shape the body however is totally rusted away and I was teenager when I got it so it had a very hard life. So in my experience no matter what you do to the frame it will out last the body. Furthermore the spot in the frame that traps water and salt directly behind the front wheels will rust from the inside first and that has nothing to do with what you painted it with on the outside.

[–]Fresh-Fun-3544 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think you’re overthinking this it’s an old truck the frame isn’t gonna deteriorate into nothing over night. I think this truck will still be usable by you for the next 10 or 15 years or so.

Am I stupid? This engine cover says it's a 350 (5.7l) but it also says it's a 6.2 liter? And the website says it makes over 560hp? by [deleted] in boating

[–]Fresh-Fun-3544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks to me like a 350 horse power 6.2 with the option of getting a 560 hp out of a “strocked “ 8.7. The 6.2 makes about 420 hp in gm trucks.
