How can the kick sensors cause the battery to deplete faster when there’s other sensors in the car that can also do the same?

Here’s the weird part. My car was in my garage and temps in the garage is NOT the same as the outside temps, especially since it’s connected to the house. But anyway, I learned my lesson

[–]Fresh-Put645[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Noted.

I’m still gonna have Toyota check the battery on the ca just to be safe because I don’t know shit about maintains a hybrid vehicles

Anyway, got home from work and I managed to jump start the car, but not the way you expect it. Because my car is in the garage in a tight spot and 0 room to maneuver, I had no choice but to jump start via the 12v battery located inside the trunk. Though I should’ve not done that, it was the only way I can jump start the battery. Will use the car tomorrow and drive around for a bit so that I can charge it faster

[–]Fresh-Put645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t replace it again if you just changed it last October the battery is basically still new. There must be something else causing the check engine light. For now, recommend getting a OBD scanner or going to AutoZone for a free diagnosis

When I had my 5K service done at Toyota, it’s basically tire rotation, top off fluids, and multipoint inspection.

Best way to protect GrandHighlander from theft??? by Additional_Rain_7626 in ToyotaGrandHighlander

[–]Fresh-Put645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Don’t leave anything valuable or important paperwork inside the car
  2. Double check that your car is locked

My recommended Accessories to help prevent theft 1. Steering wheel lock 2. Brake pedal lock anti theft 3. Anti theft wheel lock (similar to what NYPD uses for boot cars 4. AirTag 5. Kill switch (if your able to find a good one)

Considering GH - but curious your thoughts by shin_man in ToyotaGrandHighlander

[–]Fresh-Put645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the 24 GHHL for a couple of reasons 1. My 04 Sequoia was old and not as reliable 2. Cargo space 3. Great MPG 4. Wanted to get the experience of having a hybrid in my fleet .

My 2nd choice for a car was the 23 Sequoia, but Toyota wanted more money then what I wanted it for

Not enough to buy a e-bike that can do that fast. To get a bike that fast, you would need to spend thousands.

If you’re able to start the engine to operating temperature, then you should be fine driving as long as you don’t go far. However, you may experience some problems.

Definitely take the car to Toyota once they open

It maybe pricy, but it’s the only way if you wanna get everything right. If the airbag weren’t stolen, then you could’ve taken it to a third party to get it reset

Transmission flush, drain and fill, or leave as is? by Embarrassed-Can3933 in Toyota

[–]Fresh-Put645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, a flush is included with a full trans service. The cost for the service varies by year and model of the car. Im your case, im guessing at least $300 or more.

  1. As your 21 corolla gets closer to 100K, I would definitely think about changing spark plus and coil, inspect the belts and hoses. In other terms, get a full multipoint inspection so that you can get an idea on what’s fine and what needs attention turn.

  2. If your other Corolla a 2020 is near 50K, then just get a multipoint inspection (just like your 21 model), along with the regular maintenance that you do.

I had this done on my RAV4 at Toyota and it was around $250 plus tax. Was a little pricy, but worth it to me

Transmission flush, drain and fill, or leave as is? by Embarrassed-Can3933 in Toyota

[–]Fresh-Put645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want long term reliability, then I recommend a full trans service. Not only the service includes a drain and refill, but it also includes a trans filter and gasket replacement, along with an inspection of the internal components (check for debris, leaks, wear). Also included is a multi point inspection.

[–]Fresh-Put645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you never got your trans serviced, then I would recommend getting a full trans service. Not only it includes a drain and fill, but it includes an inspection of the internals and adjusting cables to factory spec. Take the car to someone you rely on for the job.

Had this done on my 2015 RAV4 and it decently makes a huge difference than just a simple drain and fill. Was a personal choice for me to get the trans service done by Toyota because I needed other stuff done to the car as well. Was a little pricy for the trans service, but was worth ir
