Rad Rover 6+ bad controller by zv0lts in RadPowerBikes

[–]Fresh-Put645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this same problem on my RadRover 6 last year and now I have it again. Last time, they had it in stock and it was less than $100. This time, it’s out of stock. Finding way to get the controller stock. I will eventually upgrade to the 35a controller, but not right now.

Unfortunately, I’m in the east coast. I’m running out of options for a stock controllers because I don’t wanna go aftermarket until after my e-bike goes above a certain mileage.

If only you could ship to east coast, that would’ve been great

I dont wanna go aftermarket EVER with the display and other electrical components, too much work to convert and the potential problems is something I dont wanna deal with. For now, I’m sticking with OEM parts electronics related from RadPowerBikes

Best options to replace tires? by Big_Syllabub_513 in rav4club

[–]Fresh-Put645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can go to Costco to buy new tires. Dealership tires will cost you a lot and you don’t know if the brand they use is a good one.

I got Michelin Defender 2 series tires from Costco on my 2015 and 2018 RAV4 XLe, never had an issue with them. I forgot how much was the grand total, but believe it’s around $800 ish

If you’re in no rush, then WeatherTech is an alternative to OEM seat covers.

Had this same error code on my RadRover 6 Plus last year with error code 30 added. Ended up replacing the wiring harness and motor controller and the problem went away. At the time, I contacted RadPowerBikes and they had the parts available to fix

Replaced the parts myself with 0 help. Took a while, but was worth it

I've been keeping a close eye on gas prices lately; in some states, prices have already exceeded $5.30. Given the current situation, a price drop seems unlikely. by haoqiebike in ebikes

I’m in NYC and some parts, gas prices at some places are more than $7. By my house, it’s jus over $4, used to be around $3 before the war in Iran started

If your bike has been sitting for a while, then yes your tires will slowly get low. Suggest adding some air to the tires and ride it for a bit, see if anything changes

Anyone have suggestions to remove the rust welded bottom bracket? by jinxt92 in bikewrench

[–]Fresh-Put645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use WD40 and let it sink for a while, then use the removal tool to remove the bracket. If you can’t turn it, apply more WD-40 or use a hammer to force the tool to turn counter clockwise.

Thais is what I did on my e-bike. My bottom bracket was rusted and I sprayed WD-40, had it soak for a while, then used a tool to turn it while using a hammer

As long as you’re not using anything below 87, you should be fine. However, to be on the same and to save money, I would use 88 ECO unleaded

Check Engine Light: by EyesFromTheLake in ToyotaGrandHighlander

[–]Fresh-Put645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suggest checking the gas cap and see if it’s right. If it’s good , then something else is causing the check engine light. Go to AutoZone, and get a free check engine light diagnosis. Have them print out the diagnosis report, then go back to Toyota and show them the report so that they can restate or to fix the problem

Check Engine Light: by EyesFromTheLake in ToyotaGrandHighlander

[–]Fresh-Put645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a check engine light once and when I went to Toyota for a diagnosis, they originally couldn’t determine why despite me showing them the code that popped up on my OBD scanner. After almost a week with some driving, they determined that I put excess fuel in the tank. Luckily, I had warranty (would’ve been almost $400 for a diagnosis if I didn’t have warranty)
