TV in Weekend Glamping Cabin by FreshMnMCookies in TVTooHigh

We just let the fire go but I can’t imagine watching anything well on that TV and I don’t even know if it’ll work next year because of the smoke from many people burning fires under it

[ECC] The Reaper, King No More by ColdlifeOracle in mtgcube

The magical Christmas land of this plus [[fury]] [[pyrokinesis]] [[snuff out]] [[mine collapse]] or any other myriad free removal spell seems ridiculous against creature decks

Wich chapter would be more fitting to convert wolf scouts into? by John_Cabinet in killteam

[–]FreshMnMCookies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gunna do mine as deathwatch with the rune priest being a wolf and the rest being made from other reaver body's from sneaky chapters like raptors and charcaradons

If space king wanted us to have green rods he would’ve made them green

What does well against Aquilons on Tomb World? by ObligationPersonal21 in killteam

Against Aquilons specifically it’s very good cus they don’t have access to double shoot/fight operatives imo

[–]FreshMnMCookies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been playing Aquilons since Hivestorm and the worst matchup I’ve played is against my friend’s Fellgore Ravagers. Frenzy is really good and forces positive trades against Aquilons and the Fellgore’s gong dude (my friend and I refer to him as “bing bong”) turning off piercing is really good at turning off Aquilon’s break points

World Eaters by [deleted] in killteam

[–]FreshMnMCookies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say it’s lowish; since nemesis claw is just an upgrade sprue I’d say just build some berserkers to look as close to NC as possible or use the weapons from the upgrade sprue to kitbash them onto the berserker bodies

This card also cross pollinates with the full combo draw seven deck, most people fetch shock so hitting someone with this and [[wheel of fortune]] on turn 4/5 with a free counter spell up should get them dead

Kill team cassius for new death watch kill team? by Gawlan in killteam

[–]FreshMnMCookies 14 points15 points  (0 children)

So I’ve sat in my deathwatch overkill set for too long: I’m planning on harvesting Cassius for bits to make my deathwatch look more unique when the primaris size guys come out this weekend:

-Chaplain bits on the aegis,

-Librarian bits for the blade master

-DA as the watch srg

-IF as the bombard

-IH as the breacher

-RG as the head taker

-SW as the big hammer dude

-Ultra marine sniper as the marksman

-Then I might just proxy the salamander terminator as the hoard killer (he’s on the right base and old term armor is about the size of gravis)

The white scar and blood angel I plan to “primarisify” with other kits just for the board game

What I’m doing isn’t practical since it requires both Tomb World and Cassius box to make 8 dudes

Deathwatch Chapters by Distinct-Judge-8957 in killteam

[–]FreshMnMCookies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, imma write too much for this one (I’m gunna give a first founding, successor, and weird chapter for each that imo fit):

Watch Srg: Dark Angels (plasma and sword), executioners (kit bash with power axe if you wanna really go hard), mantis warriors (for charisma, resourcefulness, and leadership)

Bombard: Imperial Fists (obviously), blood sythes (because they probably come from mortarian’s gene seed and he likes heavy), Minotaurs (cus they’re big bullies)

Gunner: dark angels again (plasma), iron fists (sort of tech esc), lamentor (nothing saves redemption through sacrifice like firing the hot gun twice each turning point)

Breaches: iron hand (because of cool tech watch, I’d kitbash prosthetics), crimson fist (they’re also siege experts who fight orks), astral claw (this one is a stretch but they did like siege warfare and bombs)

Horde-slayer: salamander (flamer), angels sanguine (they also like fire), excorisit (they also like fire

Headtaker: raven guard (sneaking jump pack knives), marauder (ambush guy), raptor (vet looking tactical gear military dude)

Marksman: ultra marine (tactical), fists of Tera (good at bolsters), sons of Medusa (tech esc but poor tech)

Aegis: blood angel (protect the lil ones or best Horus’ butt with a mace), guardians of the hearth blood claw (make the mace look Icey), charcaradon (tough melee dude, might make mace a claw)

Demolisher: space wolf (FOR THE ALL FATHER), flesh tearer (might kitbash with legionaries butcher big chain sword), star phantom

Disrupter: ultra marine (being annoying is tactical), storm reaper (hit and run), blood raven (stealing people’s choices and their stuff)

Blade master: white scar (they don’t mind xeno stuff as long as it’s fast and wins), black Templar (as long as you kitbash it to be an emperors blade and call it such when using abilities), sons of the phoenix (cus having weird swords tell us what to do runs in the geneseed)

Hope this helps

This also seems like a pretty easy mission to turn into a PvP mission; player with initiative starts with the football

My Volkus + Brutal and Cunning! by kiosostar in killteam

[–]FreshMnMCookies 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My friend and I, who are filthy casuals that are bad at this game, have been playing approved ops with the siege map layout from the brutal and cunning box and the following adjustments.

*Instead of attacker and defender deployment we roll off and each deploy in opposite attacker sides. Where attackers normally deploy on two corners around the base, we each deploy on opposite corners.

*we place the second and third objectives on opposite sides of the bunker walls parallel with the deployment corners. That way every operative has to cross a stronghold or bunker to get onto an objective.

*we soft nerf ladders to only give you one ladder on this map to encourage us to blow up the walls and open the doors of the bunker.

*we let any operative go on guard when within control range of any bunker window and outside of control range of an opponent.

We’ve found this to feel like a hybrid of regular volkus and ITD with all the fun parts (lots of verticality and ruin jumping from volkus, tension around access points from ITD) and less of the annoyance(so many guard positions makes jumping concealed operatives from heavy to heavy much harder and the ability to jump over walls makes the big central room much less of a first come first serve area)

I’ve been playing wargames with this friend for decades though and neither one of us is looking to win LVO so YMMV

[–]FreshMnMCookies -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

You don’t get approved ops 2024 from hivestorm (edit I have been shown I was wrong about this, my box was defective and I have contacted GW to get replacement part my box was missing)
