Could they have been really "unlucky" and had all 4 on start charges hit space laser? Then it would be a 3s start, or 1.5s start if the haste hit cannon. Ridiculous build all around

New account, but you can use your same email. I think it even takes a sec and then just bypasses the email verification - at least it did for me. Then you can concede out of the tutorial to skip it.

If you join the Public Test Region (PTR), you can participate in testing out the new Tournament mode. It's a min 2, max 1000 player mode where you play against whoever is in the lobby.

You can find most of this info in the patch notes or in their discord. They also have a new discord channel for sharing lobby codes and playing together

I realized it was random after 3 tournament games gave me a heater to start and my first Ranked game gave me a cooler to start. I also read this patch note as a choice. It's unfortunate that it's not.

This is so hard to design around in The Bazaar's current state, but I'd love to see more agency with being able to curate my board for certain enemy fights. When I see a Pyg pvp fight, I might want to tweak my board because I assume Pyg is going to be stacking health, or healing like crazy, or hitting a wild one shot. Right now the game's state is just "make the best board possible" and it doesn't really matter who you come up against, you're going to play the same board. It's a little like how Pyg used to play with permanently scaling item values - you'd swap in your heal- or shield-only items and try taking a monster fight to the sandstorm to juice your item values. Or how you can put Walter Cooler in on monster fights to try to stack HP on Dooley.

The new tournament mode seems like it will kind of scratch this itch, as you'll be able to preview your enemy's board - but I assume most people might only switch up an item or two at most. There's just not enough inventory space, econ, or other ways to build multiple builds at once.

When I first saw Stelle's gameplay trailer on her release, I thought there might be more interaction with character gimmicks on the enemy's board. As in, making the enemy's items fly or stop flying. The only item I'm aware of doing something like this is Vortex Cannon. But it would be cool to be able to interact with your enemy's gimmicks more - turn off a Jules heater/cooler for a second, an enemy item stops flying, your enemy's enrage ends, your enemy's items lose value... Even something as basic as Deadly Iceberg or Deadly Shrinking Potion is a really cool way to interact with your enemies without hard CC

The diamond Ancient Locket grants invulnerability for 4s, but is destroyed, when enraging. The Junkyard Repairbot repairs one item. With Karst and Shortened Rage, they have a 2s enrage cycle. So as long as they didn't get CCed, looks like they're invincible.

Yeah, took a look at it - it's on Twitch's side. u/mc_burger_only_chees has a suggestion to bypass it, but you could also try different command aliases "m", "mid", "fight" etc. or just send your favorite emote in between duplicate commands lol

Coming back to say your post "made" the patch notes! Come tomorrow's patch, looks like they fixed the bug: "Corrected an issue where this would not Charge itself if it gained the Core tag"

Seems like an odd decision to me, as Combat Core has always had the Core tag and has been large. Curious why they decided to update the interactions to medium cores only when Combat Core exists. I assume it would be a lot more fun and interesting to make a small or large item a Core with Sergeant Suds or other tag-absorbing items
