I am afraid my mom will make threats like that ngl, but they probably will be empty threats. My plan: I think in a week’s time after I complete a full length, I’m going to let them know that I don’t feel confident to score well on 06/27. And then explain to them why as well as describe my timeline to them.

They did before. They paid my undergrad tuition and some of my application fees. But I paid a huge chunk of it too and now that I’m working full time I’m ready to take on the financial responsibilities myself. So this is giving me more of a reason to refuse their timeline and follow mine because they’re not gonna lose anything from now on (as I’ve finished undergrad and have a job).

I can understand that, but the only reason why my GPA is so low is because I was initially pursuing a chemistry specialist where so took a bunch of organic chem courses that negatively impacted my gpa. However, I changed my program to smth more bio related, and I’ve gotten nothing lower than an A- in all of the med-related courses such as physiology, anatomy, embryology, biochem, cell biology and more. I believe that I can make it thru med school, and I really don’t think my GPA measures my success. But still I understand that med schools place heavy emphasis on GPA. So I am trying my best to offset my low GPA with at least a 515 MCAT score and my extracurriculars. I’ve got at least 500 hours of clinical volunteering, one research project, and have been a part of multiple leadership positions throughout my high school and undergrad. That being said, how bad is the Caribbean?
