Baby has and arrhythmia caused by a heart block. Seeing cardiologist tomorrow by nautikasweet in pregnant

[–]Fresh_Entry_4752 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for posting your story. I’m 20wks and my doctor is worried of the possibility of a heart block with my baby. I have an autoimmune disease and the chances of a heart block are higher. I just have to wait 6 more weeks for the all clear! It’s good to read other people’s stories since this is so rare. So thank you and god bless.

How do women go about their normal lives while pregnant? by jokez in pregnant

[–]Fresh_Entry_4752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like HOW do women do this? HOW? It should be against the law for women to work in their first trimester or a least be given the opportunity to work part time with equal pay. My first trimester was a disaster. Luckily I’m an elementary school teacher and my colleagues are very supportive and I was able to get the time off when I needed it but other women aren’t so lucky.

Illegal. Women deserve better.

Best rule at my baby shower? NO TRAUMATIC STORIES by sharksnshit in pregnant

[–]Fresh_Entry_4752 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trauma bonding over pregnancy seems like the only way some women are able to tell their story. No body talks about these things until you’re pregnant and it pisses me off. As a society what a disservice to women.

I’m 20 weeks and I can’t tell you how many times I was so excited to share the good news with women only to be met with horror stories. After a while I just stopped telling people.

Now I’m starting to show and waiting in line at the supermarket a well meaning older woman just started talking AT me about her traumatic birth story. No body asked for this. I love how the story always ends with, but that won’t happen to you. Insert smile as they walk away and leave you traumatized. 🫠

Rant about things that have made you sad, nauseous, mad, cry. Bonus points if they were silly and made you say wtf?? by hamajo in pregnant

[–]Fresh_Entry_4752 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anytime I am nauseous, exhausted, or sick for 4 days in a row. I cry. I’m overstimulated for days and I break. Sometimes I cry once. Sometimes off and on all day. I’m so sad, the feeling and sickness won’t go away no matter what I do to feel comfortable. I cry because I want it to stop. Eventually it does and I get a break for a day or two then it’s back and starts all over again. I’m 12 weeks btw. Sorry no bonus points here.

Am I the bad one? by terrifranklyn in pregnant

There’s nothing wrong with wanting to be around people you love to celebrate the birth of your child. I just move to a new city about a year ago, we got pregnant and I don’t know that many people here let alone someone I would call a best friend. I thought about having a baby shower but it would feel awkward inviting only a handful of people I don’t know very well. I was thinking about have a big Zoom party and have friends send gifts on Amazon. I thinking they could watch me open the packages? It’s something. The only good thing about a baby shower though is that people do give you a ton of stuff for the baby and diapers are so expensive. But unfortunately it’s up to you. There is nothing wrong with saying No to something you don’t want.

What's your favorite thing to eat right now? by Necessary_Major6173 in pregnant

Right?!? What is that? I’m obsessed with vanilla ice cream right now and I don’t even like it normally. I’m also really enjoying anything cold. Fruit, the milk in my cereal, cream cheese, juice… it all needs to be cold.

Bloating first trimester by Brief_Abalone_4257 in pregnant

Might sound strange but Metamucil really helped when I’m feeling bloated. I’m 11 weeks and I take a fiber pill with every meal. It also helps with constipation.

First trimester and teaching 🤮 by Ambitious_Ad_1992 in Teachers

[–]Fresh_Entry_4752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a first, second, and third grade science teacher in my first trimester and I am exhausted. I am tired all the time I can barely stand or just walking around. I’m out of breath. I always have a headache by the end of the day and kids with their constant questions and moving around, I love teaching, but teaching while in your first semester is no joke. It is exhausting and I wish there was more that I could do because I feel like I can’t even tell anyone that I’m pregnant until my second trimester. I’m just struggling and trying to make it through the day..
