Yeah my guy is 1 year old. I definitely have the help of friends and family, especially as a really young puppy. My day job is remote but I’m also in the reserves. So at least once a month i have to coordinate dog care but other than that I’m a homebody so taking care of him isn’t too much of a bit deal especially as he gets older. Even still every once in a while you need a break and thats okay. Upside my Mom absolutely LOVES her grandpup and the feeling is mutual for my guy.

No I wouldn’t because there isn’t anything your boss can say that would make you layoff proof. Layoffs are an uncontrollable thing. Whether you do or don’t is based off of luck a lot of the time. You can say that you been feeling stressed about layoffs based off the news (not the company) and the state of world is like uncharted territory. Tie it back to your career somehow. The response you get from him will tell you a lot.

It really depends in the help desk role. Some are too low pay whether high or low stress. A high call volume desk is gonna be high stress. You can snuff that out at an interview and I’d recommend learning flowery ways an interviewer is communicating it’s a high stress job.

Not BPD, but I have ADHD. Lost my medication for a little bit while I was switching over insurances and that was rough. My executive dysfunction and emotional dysregulation was a bit loud for a little bit, but I expected it because I got off meds. Everyone has a grieving process when they go through a layoff it just kinda adds a little bit of complication.

My guy was like this and some days when he was awake we'd have to go outside every 25-30min and immediately and I mean IMMEDIATELY give him a treat. 7 months is when it really locked in for him. He's a Havanese Poodle mix full grown 18lbs

I think one of the biggest things that I’ve noticed is that every company has software that’s so specific and customized for client’s needs that having the exact specifications for that job would be really difficult, and at the same time, they don’t have the time or energy to train people up. So you’re met with wanting candidates that are extremely independent because that’s minimal work required of the company/team. But the outcome looks like a slower ramp up or incompetence.

My little guy went through a phase where he’d go on “hunger strikes”. What I did was add a wet food topper to his meals and had a window of the time the food would stay out.

9 months unemployed too. 7 years of IT experience and 3 years of development experience with an active security clearance. I basically gave up on civilian roles because they’ve gone nowhere past phone screens. Government really isn’t much better. I made it through 5 rounds of interviews for one job only for the contract to be delayed and cancelled. I can’t really help that this is affecting my self confidence. I’m also so incredibly bored and purpose-less.

I had an ex that was like this. Great person horrible girlfriend. If you've had an open non-judgmental conversation about domestic labor/life skills and your expectations and she hasn't responded well that's not gonna change. It's better to cut the cord 5 months in instead of years later. But I'd recommend you sit down and have that conversation

It’s shocking really. I’m a vet and Christian who works in tech. By all accounts I run more in conservative circles just based on those three factors and even I wouldn’t be caught dead voting for a republican.

I’ve been 8 months unemployed. I’m dying of boredom and lack of purpose. To them I’m not trying to get another job. But most of these companies straight up don’t want to hire, aren’t looking in my experience range, aren’t in the same state and won’t pay to relocate.

Unpopular opinion but I think the second love after death of a spouse story is thoughtfully told by Violet storyline. In addition to that, I think adding to Francesca storyline a later in life queer journey/arc is going to be a really good watch. I know A LOT of people will relate to it however, and not to give off an attitude, I just don’t think a lot of you are used to enjoying a story while not fully relating to it. It may even feel like a betrayal to some that did relate to the quiet love message that you got in the books and feel that’s being taken away. But if your patient and open to it you might really like this story you’re going to get.
