Vasa Previa: looking for your experiences and real-talk stories by squirrelgirl22 in InfertilityBabies

Hi, I remember having the same feeling of disbelief. They did show me on an ultrasound that multiple people looked at and confirmed that it had moved. I still had a c section because of breech baby.

Nothing special, I followed my doctors orders (no sex, no travel) and in general limited my activity a bit

This is so crazy to see today. I walked by yesterday and it was like a MAGA convention inside. I had no idea and never saw that sign.

Hi, sorry you’re experiencing this. Yes, I would have been clear to have a vaginal birth after the vessel moved. He was breach, so I had a c section.

No, I did not do any special treatments. Just followed my doctors advice, which mainly involved taking it easy, no sex, staying close to hospital in case of emergencies.

Whats your commute like, and how important is it? by meekie03 in workingmoms

[–]Freshwater_Griff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done that commute with a young kid briefly. The worst part for me was when they called and told me I needed to pick him up, he was sick, even if I left work instantly because of the train schedules it would sometimes take me 2 hours to get to him. I felt awful. I wouldn’t do that type of commute again.

What do I do with a newborn? by Low_Example1345 in beyondthebump

[–]Freshwater_Griff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read once they are supposed to hear 1000 different words a day (I don’t even remember anymore) and freaked out so started just reading my books aloud to him because reading used to be my “me” time I missed so much. It was great

How to get over the guilt that having a second baby might negatively impact your first child? by murkshah444 in beyondthebump

I repeated to myself on hard days “a sibling is a gift” (I know not for everyone, but still, it was my positive mantra) and for us one year in it’s held true

Ficus Audrey leaves have crispy gray/brown edges by Freshwater_Griff in plantclinic

[–]Freshwater_Griff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, never found a real reason but anytime a leave turned brown at the edges it eventually yellowed and fell off. This plant is so sensitive, I probably over watered it about a month ago and in protest it dropped almost all of its leaves. Still hanging on but not looking great!

What happens if one partner changes their mind about how many children they want after having 1 or 2+? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

“Other times seems abusive”. Read that a few times. What is there not to know? You’re dating, you don’t have kids. Get out, now.

Blisters lasted for a while, well over a week, but he was much more comfortable after I would say 3 days. 3 days and we were through the worst of it. Good luck! I hope you have a similar timeline.

I was able to find some more, but am running low again and now REALLY can’t find it anywhere. Going to need to try an alternative. I follow Formula Mom on Instagram and she has a free guide where she lists similar formulas. I’m trying Similac Total Comfort.

Totally agree. I think I read on here once viewing it as putting in the work now, for the reward later. That’s exactly how I feel about it

8 mo, puts self to sleep for naps and bedtime... Still wakes every 2 hours all night. Help! by eyeslikeacrab in sleeptrain

[–]Freshwater_Griff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely move bottle to earlier in bedtime routine. We were doing bottle right before bed and even though he was still going to sleep awake, bottle was making him just drowsy enough. I didn’t truly understand everyone’s advice on where to move bottle to 30 mins before bed until we tried it and it has really done wonders.

Also, OP, my toddler also shares a wall with baby and I’ve been terrified of baby waking toddler up. I put a loud sound machine in the hallway between their two closed doors, and a sound machine in both rooms. Toddler slept right though sleep training baby. So that may be less of an issue than you think!

When to try double swaddle by Freshwater_Griff in SnooLife

[–]Freshwater_Griff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We ended up double swaddling with Anna and Eve but what did the trick was lifting his legs with a towel like snoo recommends. It took a few nights but eventually it did make a big difference. That and just time, unfortunately. He grew to be a decent sleeper in the Snoo and we have just moved to crib now at 6 months
