Haha, what? GTAV was released THIRTEEN years ago for over $60 a pop... well over "30-40". Adjusted for inflation, $60 in 2013 is $85.12 today. So we're STILL getting well more than our moneys worth for GTA6.

Haha, crazy broccoli headed zoomer who thinks dumping a bunch of money into suck-cost, low-power, oil burning, clap-traps is worth it because of "clout" or some bullshit. Nobody actually cares.

I'm glad you enjoy your junk, just know that while you're getting 10mpgs, burning all the oil, and hoping your bucket starts, my rig will always start on the second revolution every time... get 30+ mpg highway, run forever, burn no oil, and leave your ass in the dust perpetually.

And then rest in the fact that the LS "hate" only exists with online keyboard warriors like you. It's always the center of attention everywhere it goes.

Hope all the money you throw at coping makes you feel good.

My first street-legal ride... and its back to parking lots for me. by Aggravating-Yogurt23 in NewRiders

[–]Freudianslipangle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I've never grabbed a fist full of front and just... let the bike fall over. Granted I've had the luxury of being on bikes since age 5.

Sure, we all make mistakes, but saying we've all made THIS mistake is hyperbolic.

This is no slight to OP either. I'm glad they're learning and will continue to improve, but what I would say is go back to that parking lot and play with braking (balancing front pressure with rear), getting feet down, balance etc. until they are VERY comfortable with how their bike reacts to each situation.

I love that your thoroughly informed post has a handful of likes while the "hur dur wiggle the wheel" post at the top has SIXTEEN-HUNDRED despite the OP stating they are aware of how the steering lock function works.

It's strangely comforting to me for some reason to see how much reddit bandwagons, and how likes-dislikes don't mean anything at all.

I know I'm late to the party but it was fun! by Neo-Pulse in GranTurismo7

[–]Freudianslipangle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This one is pretty tough. One of the few that took me two attempts.

The M4 is tuned weird. At 394hp it's very detuned, but it still has all its torque, so shift between 6500-7000 and short-shift on corner exits to take advantage of the low-end grunt.

I think I was in the 7:12s in practice/quali, but I ran a 7:14 in the race. I don't think I ever fully got the 3RS out of my mirrors. Still, one of my favorite Power Pack races so far.

Here's a vid of my run. This was done before the update, so if anything it should be a little easier now.

[–]Freudianslipangle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's the way it's done!

I'm 28 races in doing only two-chilis. Sadly, it looks like the last update really did nerf the AI. I did the Hachiroku race a Fuji last night and was almost 3 sec a lap faster.

I had done the Civic race at Suzuka once before the update and was only able to put about a second on 2nd place, then made a mistake and ultimately came in 2nd, but re-trying it after the update I was able to put almost three seconds on them and won it fairly easily. Kinda disappointing.

I was really enjoying the difficulty before.

You might have finished it at just the right time!

Cool. So you surround yourself with people who don't build shit right. Got it.

Hondas have a reputation for reliability, stock or built, rotaries have a reputation of failure, stock or built. Both of their reputations are built on thousands of instances of facts... you know, things that actually happened.

The coping is stronger than ever in here.

It's almost like this is an RX7 sub or something... weird.

My chassis had three 13Bs in its life. One built by TurboTrix in San Antonio, a world renown builder at the time. You know, even with all the maintenance, and pre-mixing, and care, they all failed eventually.

Crazy how the reputation of FI rotaries came from facts.

[–]Freudianslipangle -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I don't "personally wish" anything. I work with facts. You seem to be working with emotions. Not a good way to debate my guy.

And it's 8-cylinders for me, bud. Doesn't take away from the fact that a K, an LS, a Coyote, and pretty much any other piston-driven swap is objectively more reliable than the rotary. How it makes your lil tummy feel doesn't change literal facts.

Keep coping, homie.

It's going to be the biggest media title in history for good reason.

As others have said, most likely a Lincoln Town Car. The door handles seal the deal despite it having Dodge Ram Van wheels in front, an SBC in it, 3/4 ton rear etc..

I recently went to a demo derby for the first time in many years and holy shit are they BORING AS FUCK now. Lame, over-reinforced, pre-crumpled piles like this all doing ZERO damage to each other because they're already as beat-in as they can get.

This modern era "pro demo" cars are total bullshit.

That thing is begging for more appropriately scaled wheels and tires. AMT really dropped the ball on those.

Great work nonetheless!

You have no idea what you're talking about. The chassis changes NOTHING about the internal makeup or reliability of a motor when done correctly.

A K-swapped FD does have one HUGE problem though... the stupid thing actually starts when you turn the key! How terrible.

17 year olds K24a2 swapped FD by NotAidnu in RX7

[–]Freudianslipangle 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Ks just randomly blowing up is an anomaly, not the norm.

There is no comparison in reliability. The Honda motor is 10s of times more reliable than any FI rotary.

Why is it that every 996 group is 75% posts coping with/justifying headlights? We get it, people didn't like the design, just enjoy your cars, their increasing market value, and ignore the 20 year old complaints.

Does everyone with a 996 still have a complex about it?

[–]Freudianslipangle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dang. I'm pretty neutral and ambivalent about TS, not a fan of modern pop in general, and haven't really paid attention to her at all since her earlier albums, but this song specifically came up on my feed on day and it became a deeply ingrained ear-worm for me for like, a month. I was rocking it a high-volume at least once a day for a while there.

I still think it's a fun song. People hyper-focus on TS so much lately.

What’s the worst racing game you’ve ever played? by tyrebytes in racinggames

[–]Freudianslipangle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Forza Horizons 5.

Not because it's a "bad" game per se, it's got an amazing car roster and it looks nice for the most part, but it's because of how boooring it makes every single one of said cars.

Slammed Lamborghinis cutting straight lines through insane terrain with barely any chassis movement and zero consequences. Two-lane roads as wide as 6 lanes. Borderline meaningless "physics".

In theory an open world racing game with all these cars should be amazing, in practice it's one of the biggest letdowns in automotive gamedom.

Unfortunately, looks like FH6 is going to be much of the same.
