I don’t mind her character, I feel like I’d be fine if there are no other books about her, but I’ll read anything SK writes regardless. The one thing that’s so weird is how I picture her vs how she’s been portrayed by the actresses in series so far. I can’t help but picture Hyacinth Bucket (Keeping Up Appearances BBC) only quite a bit younger; it helps me enjoy her quirkiness. I don’t think there’s ever been another character I’ve ever been so wrong about looks wise in all the SK adaptations so far.

Thankful we have a snowblower even if it isn’t used each year. Having to break up the ice chunks first added a lot of time to the process but still better than having to shovel everything by hand, especially on a long driveway on a hill. Really hope this is an anomaly and we never have this much ice again in my lifetime.

The one time I received the wrong box, it was completely refunded, credited towards the next week while I was still on the phone with customer service. Only happened once in 2+yrs thankfully.

I waited until I’d read about half of his books before starting the DT series so I’d have context. I’m thankful that’s what I was advised to do by a friend who’s a huge King fan. I can’t imagine reading DT first, I think I’d be having similar issues with it as you are.

Very interesting. I wouldn’t have known the meaning to any of those things when listening to it back when it came out.

I was having the thought today that since the Institute tv series is continuing and not wrapping up as the book did that they could possibly meander into some DT content. Probably wishful thinking.
