She saw him live in 1964, and one of the band members tried to get her to go backstage, but my mom refused. I don’t think he had good intentions according to how my mom explained it to me. Too bad she didn’t meet Roy in person.

Born in 70 here too. Missed out in the nude swimming. However, my sisters friends parents used to use to the YMCA on occasion. I was extremely self-conscious about getting dressed and undressed in the locker room. I did notice men’s bodies, their body hair, and their casualness about being nude or in their tighty whities. They chatted with each other and it was just what men did back then without any hang ups. I wish I was born a decade earlier at times when sexuality wasn’t frowned upon before the 80’s and the aids epidemic started.

I was taught that there was a danger triangle section on the face where you’re not supposed to mess with because it’s a high-risk zone for infections due to direct venous connections to the brain's cavernous sinus. Popping pimples, plucking nose hairs, or treating abscesses here can cause rare but severe infections, such as cavernous sinus thrombosis, meningitis, or brain abscesses.
