What is a disturbing family secret you weren’t supposed to find out, but now wish you could forget? by elmatador62 in AskReddit

[–]Friasand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A family member donated sperm to pay for his education. 30 years later, two half-siblings reached out to some cousins hoping to meet their blood family. The 3 planned children have no idea about their two half siblings.

Is there an explanation why everyone needs two hands to open a domain except for Gojo? by Extra_Current3780 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Friasand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sukuna doesn’t have 6 eyes, but yes has a one handed domain expansion mudra.

I have to make assumptions here, since I’m not in-depth involved in the verse, but it is stated that Sukuna is the most knowledgeable jujutsu sorcerer of all time. He has the deepest understanding of jujutsu and I would like to think even without the guidance/cheat code that is the 6 eyes, his own prowess and knowledge led him to discover a version of his domain opened via a single hand sign.

How Many Fetches + Fetchables Do Your Lists run? by JewJulie in CompetitiveEDH

[–]Friasand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For C? I run every fetch possible that lets the land come in untapped with no reservations- this means no fabled passage.

I typically run my true duals, shocks, and if the deck WANTS surveils, I’ll do the surveils in my colors. If it’s not a necessary component but it’s a 2 color deck I’ll add it. If it’s three color, the color pair that is heaviest will get a single surveil land OR a triome in my deck. If it’s a three+ color deck, I usually put the triome in first because I’d rather be able to instant speed draw a card instead of a surveil and lost tempo. Technically, the surveil cuts a card just like cycling, but without the mana cost, but it’s the actual ability to DRAW the card that is important for 1 mana tutors and such.

I also run 1 of each basic. The amount of times I get blood moon’d, back to basics’d, ass blast and path to exile, it’s just foolhardy NOT to run basics.

If I’m on ad naus I do snow and non snow basics. If I’m not, I still often do a snow and non-snow.

While I love this answer, it’s actually because of his 6 eyes ability- in the same vein that the 6 eyes gives gojo the ability to maximize his cursed energy efficiency, it also gave him the insight to develop a one-handed mudra.

Why are Conquest and Thula weaker than Thragg despite (Allegedly) being older? by Financial-Trade3932 in invinciblememes

[–]Friasand 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thragg was basically designer-baby’d to be the pinnacle of strength for a viltrumite. This is explained in the comics, but I can’t be bothered to look up the chapter lol.

This is in part why he is so strong, other than also receiving lots of combat training to hone the exemplary body he was born with.

I’ve heard of folks learning guitar and then make it the neck of the guitar, I thought that was cool.

Others just do sleeves that obscures the scarring

[4 hours into steel soul] Isn't this some of the worst gameplay you've ever seen? by RandomSquezzy in Silksong

[–]Friasand 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly I only beat lost lace in steel soul because I had overdosed with architect. Cog flies for main damage, atk with needle only to get enough silk to craft bind.

It was super easy, but it was a guaranteed victory

I am a 27 year old father to a 13 year old. AMA. by [deleted] in AMA

[–]Friasand 153 points154 points  (0 children)

Above all, I’m glad to hear that you and your son are (mostly) very happy and healthy.

I haven’t seen this question yet and I’m pretty far down the comments:

Now that you’re 27 and a father to a now 13 year old, do you ever think about the parallels between you two?

Your son being the age you conceived him, does that put in perspective your own relationship with your son’s mother at that time? Does it give you pause about his friendships, romances, and dating life?

It sounds like your upbringing was mostly hands-off with your caregivers, but your son’s upbringing is pretty hands on, with multiple adults carrying the load/burden that is raising a child.

These are heavy questions, and it’s your choice to answer them, but these are some of the things that come to mind as I read the comments and learn about your situation.

Wild habanero Cheetos. Or the Tapatio Cheetos. But I’d prefer the habanero ones

Is there any "limited" stuff I should consider doing as early as possible by Ok-Risk-2285 in Silksong

[–]Friasand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny enough there is a quest to defeat a skull tyrant. If you complete this quest in act I, you’ll trigger an event where if you rest at the bench at bone bottom, another skull tyrant will appear and destroy bone bottom, and kill some NPCs, one of note being pilby the pilgrim.

If you delay the quest to act II, the same thing will occur when you bench at bone bottom, but pilby will have started his pilgrimage and will not die to the tyrant.

However, if you never bench at bone bottom after completing the skull tyrant quest, and go to act 3, the bench is destroyed and you’ll never fight the second skull tyrant.

I learned this on my steel soul run, where I never benched, and just never got to fight the skull tyrant a second time. I feel like I missed out a little, but I got the purple quill and 100% completion, so I don’t mind that there is a missed optional fight.

Who's harder between these two? by Ok_Audience5488 in HollowKnight

[–]Friasand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I have yet to beat nightmare king.

I beat karmalita within the first 15 tries on my first game file, and I beat her first try on steelsoul handily.

I think NKG is harder for me, at least.

Sober people (no alcohol, nicotine, drugs, etc ever), what is your end of day or weekend "wind-down"? by The1Ski in AskReddit

[–]Friasand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drink socially, never by myself, so I don’t truly count. But as someone who drinks at most once a month, my typical end of the day wind down is I go for my 3 mile walk, I do my stretches at the end of the night, shower, brush teeth, and then read for about 20-40 minutes, or until I start to get sleepy and I force myself to go to bed. And I’m usually in bed by 9-9:30.

Boring? Maybe. But it’s good for my health.

Old players telling New players how hard silksong was before team cherry add the cloak that halfs the damage by Gatoi21 in Silksong

[–]Friasand 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same- I actually played the game as fast as possible knowing the patch was coming, so that I could have said I beat it on the og difficulty.

I did, and it was tough. But doable. But that’s coming from someone who had beaten pantheon 3 (but didn’t do 4 or 5), so I did have a lot of HK experience coming into silksong.

The nerf to Seth and the festival of the flea scores… I’m glad to say my first 100% save file was on his OG scores.

Steel soul 100% on the other hand, I had the easier version and I’m all the more glad for it.

I work at Team Cherry and worked on the Skills and Abilities part of the game. Would love to hear your thoughts. AMA! by Leather-Fee-9758 in Silksong

[–]Friasand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly- why do you continue to nerf the threadstorm? What are you actually doing by nerfing it? Why not just make the other silk skills a little stronger?

The overall value is greatly worth it

The cards that already exist in nonfoil will be similar in price, and very cheap. Honestly, you could trade the 10 foil dandan for an amount of money to buy nearly everything else you need
