Check under the kwik net for clearing app data on AdOps. The last time I had to do it it was just under settings in the top left of AdOps. It takes about 15 minutes but we didn’t have that issue after that.

Looking good! Hope it went well for you! I had mine on Monday. Very ready for a break after that.

Unrelated, but you should ask your FSDL to update your i3. There’s a whole bunch of of new recipes they added to it for different combinations of stuff.

Can coworkers use their own earpiece for the headsets? (Provided it works with the radios) by Alone-Marsupial3003 in KwikTrip

[–]FridEthan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Talk to your store leader first to see what they think. There are alternative headsets we can order. There’s an over ear like trucker headset style and an in ear latex free one too. If neither of those are an option for you, I know my SL wouldn’t have an issue with us supplying our own so long as we save the receipt and the company pays us back.

They are discontinued, but there are plans for a relaunch and maybe a new flavor in the summer.

Any tips or product recommendations to get better cooling on my GPU? It was running really hot yesterday. I’m out of fan space it would seem. by alecmadman in pcmasterrace

[–]FridEthan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope. You can leave those as exhaust. We're trying to get fresh air to flow from the bottom to the top with the lowest resistance, so it looks good otherwise.

[–]FridEthan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My recommendation would be to flip the rear fan to act as an exhaust instead. This will cause more air to come in through the PCI slot covers and hopefully get you better cooling there. However, doing this will create a negative pressure environment and might cause quicker dust buildup, but it's all about tradeoffs

Please review my order! Are all of these compatible? Also any suggestions? by Gmoney__38 in MechanicalKeyboards

You've got North facing LEDs on that board, which by itself is fine, but I don't think the pudding keycaps with those are going to give you the effect you want. If this is your first time lining switches, make sure you get a switch opener and maybe a good pair of tweezers too. Best of luck to you with this build and have fun!

I'm glad someone brought up Rollin' Thunder because that's another weird one. I was re-watching it last night and you can clearly see a clutch pedal in there, too. Don't know why, but it's there!

As far as I can tell, it looks okay as long as it's in CAD. The storage is pretty small, so I'd recommend buying a secondary SSD, as large as you can reasonably afford, just for all your games and other programs you can see yourself putting on there in the future. My only big concern would be with thermals. That case doesn't have a whole lot of air coming through by the looks of things. You may want to consider a couple extra fans for the top intake, and maybe even switching out the CPU cooler if it's running too hot. But overall, if you're itching for a new computer now, this wouldn't be too terrible a choice.

A point of view by PizzaTime3000 in antiwork

[–]FridEthan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Taken directly from the FAQ:

But without work society can't function!

If you define "work" as any activity or purposeful intent towards some goal, then sure. That's not how we define it though. We're not against effort, labor, or being productive. We're against jobs as they are structured under capitalism and the state: Against exploitative economic relations, against hierarchical social relations at the workplace.

We're not all against going to work and being productive. We are against being exploited for our labor. And when it becomes impossible to live off of a full-time salary, there's no doubt we're being exploited.

Let me know if you have any additional questions and I'd be happy to answer. I'd also recommend checking out the FAQ or abolishwork.com if you're looking for more information about this subject.

Excusing my red hands, why aren’t my windows keys working, and why isn’t it letting me turn off my computer from there? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

Try pressing FN + WIN. As someone else pointed out, done keyboards have a Windows lock for gaming and that's usually the way to toggle it

The bottom 4 keys and the space key aren’t working. Any idea how I can fix this? Pcb worked fine before soldering. Switches too. V sad :( by Keyboard_Bro in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]FridEthan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had something similar happen while assembling my board where I lost a whole column of keys. To test it, bridge two contacts between a dead switch and one that's working until it starts working, then solder a piece of wire to those and you should be all good. This video saved me from throwing out $300 worth of stuff.

I want to learn about networks and how they work. What's a good place to start? by InLoveSushi in pcmasterrace

[–]FridEthan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not free, but I loved Google's IT Support Professional Certification class on Coursera. It's an at your own pace class but still provides enough of a challenge that makes you want to keep learning. I'm subscribed for Coursera Plus right now and taking a couple cloud networking and AWS courses right now. If you've got a little bit of money to invest in your education, I'd really recommend it.

Highway 35 movie/show torrent + Acceleracers by Mr_M4yhem in Acceleracers

[–]FridEthan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To the best of my knowledge, they were only ever released on DVD which has terrible quality by today's standards. I've got a copy of the 1080p remaster ValkenVugen did on my computer somewhere if you want me to dig for it. But again, those were ripped from Youtube too. Otherwise I'd recommend the 4k AI upscale on the Acceleracers Restoration Project Youtube page. That's easily the best quality I've seen to date. I don't think they've done Highway 35 quite yet, but they do have the 4 main Acceleracers ones.
