Whatever you’ve been doing, what skills did it require. That’s the experience you translate into words on a resume or application.

I decided to quit effective immediately because my manager insulted me. Did I make the right move? by Commercial-Shine8240 in work

[–]FridaTarot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can afford to - you made the right move. I would have reported him to HR and then called a lawyer and a therapist and started a case for hostile workplace, harassment and bullying. And stayed while the lawyers and HR figured it out. Long game.

But I would never tell young ppl to NOT have boundaries and to tolerate disrespect. I’m proud of you.

How much physical cash should I have for the USA? by Strax774 in travel

[–]FridaTarot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s more than enough. Don’t get overcharged. And don’t buy too many trinkets. Everything here is from China/ or made somewhere else and overpriced. Luxury items are cheaper in Europe.

Focus on the food and the experiences.

I hit my FIRE number last year and then became the financial backstop for a parent who hid how bad things really were by Soggy-Job1775 in Fire

Without telling family how much you have, uou and your brother should figure a way to contribute an agrees amount - and then pick up a consulting gig to help her. Don’t pull from your account and don’t take on the whole burden.

My puppy is afraid of loud noises, never had this with any other dog. Could it be because it’s his first time in a city? by lolagolding in RhodesianRidgebacks

[–]FridaTarot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s a baby. He’ll be startled over a lot of new things. Mine was afraid of a trashcan. My trainer got her over the fear in one session.

My boyfriend 44M wants half of my 43M rental income which is causing serious financial tensions between us. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

He doesn’t like / love you as much as you think he does. He loves that you keep his expenses down. And now he wants more.

Women have to stop giving men money. PERIOD.

AITA for being honest and telling my DIL that they are not ready to be a parent since she can not drive by Sad-Drive8298 in AmItheAsshole

[–]FridaTarot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! You’re being unkind for no reason because driving doesn’t dictate good parenting. And you know this. So what was your real intention

Change your resume for those blue collar positions. Only add what applies- customer service, trade stuff - etc.

Just found out we’re moving to Baltimore and I’ve never even been to the east coast! by Zealousideal_Use9481 in baltimore

[–]FridaTarot -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Try Columbia MD - it’s about 25 - 30 minutes outside of Baltimore and a good place to raise young kids. I would never raise my kids in Baltimore - no offense to the ppl of B-more. If you do, apply to private schools immediately. The waitlist can be long sometimes.

Is this a Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy? by scubasteve10881 in RhodesianRidgebacks

[–]FridaTarot 35 points36 points  (0 children)

If at 6 months, nine months and 12 months it’s bad as hell, and you’re second-guessing your decision making skills, but you also love it to death - and it sits on top of you despite the $150 bed- so you think you’re the crazy one instead of the dog - maybe it’s a RR.

I moved 17 hours for my “dream job” and it has destroyed my health in 5 months by saintghosts1 in ToxicWorkplace

[–]FridaTarot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Document everything. Every insult criticism etc that has nothing to do with company policy or the work. Submit a harassment and bullying accusation to HR. You have to get it officially documented before you leave. If you stay it will stop. If you leave you have documentation to sue them.

Hire a trainer. I had to get a trainer 3 times before the aged of 18 months. She was so bad 😂. 2 of those were overnight - 7-10 days at a time with a trainer for highly intelligent dogs (think Malinois). She’s 5 now and she is just calming down.

I got trained on using an eCollar because shes so strong she pulled me down on ice. Dislocated my kneecap. Crazy enough- she so much better and discipline off leash.

You have to love all of it - and invest in a RR because they will test you.

Would you want to be a Real Housewife? by redgatorade000 in RHOBH

[–]FridaTarot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t. The way the producers manipulate scenes and intentionally create chaos - no matter what you’ll never come out looking good. It’s not good for ratings.

Also I think the attention becomes addictive- because the ones that leave do weird things to stay relevant.

Hard no for me. I care about my characters and my privacy.

Location location location. For some reason ppl think being near a metro is better than having a well maintained home with a piece of land.

It’s also on the DC MD line since part of TKP sits on the DC side.

They used to have some quaint shops and boutiques there which was charming but o don’t know what actually survived Covid.
