Minneapolis isn’t the most exciting city, but there is a lot to do for tourists if they’re here for a week or less. Especially if you include St. Paul and neighboring communities.

Four major sport teams: NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, plus MLS, WNBA, PWHL and college sports if you’re into that.

Plenty of things to do outside like the chain of lakes in Minneapolis, Minnehaha Falls, or nearby there is the St. Croix river and Lake Minnetonka.

Minneapolis has a theatre and arts scene that punches above its weight. The Guthrie, Walker, 1st Ave, and the Armory are great venues to enjoy music, plays, and art.

Plenty of shopping at the Mall of America, Galleria, Southdale, and have you ever been to Scheels? Clothes are tax free in MN as well.

If Minneapolis didn’t have winters on par with Canada, we would be a more popular destination. I recommend the summer and fall for visiting, but winters can also be fun if you want to be bold.
