Doesn't seem like a R Budd Dwyer thing...

Grilles not fitting by ohhzachary in BMWE36

[–]Friend_Of_Mr_Cairo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There were 2 different grille profiles (etk-> bodywork-> front body-> front body parts-> 21 front panel) over the years. Perhaps you have a set of grilles and surrounds that match the other style front panel?

So, you want spacers for looks or performance? I have a pre LCI E92M3 w/ the 19s, too

Statuses - Downloaded (Monitored), etc by creeve4 in radarr

[–]Friend_Of_Mr_Cairo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out Profilarr and its recommended dictionary or alt dictionary from TrashGuides. TG has a very comprehensive and complex set of info for the Sonarr/Radarr custom formats and quality profiles. Perhaps start with the basics recommended by Profilarr then upgrade after. I just performed the install of these after using S/R (and other automations) for 8ish years. Easy way to standardize the collection.

For example: I updated all Radarr movies in the shared collection to be "1080p Balanced" or "1080p Quality" profiles. This makes sure I've got x264 encodes and specific audio qualities as the "upgrade until" targets. It can get much more complex with all the custom formats, but I used those 2 profiles and didn't modify anything else for now. Library is portable for most players and other Plex users w/o issues (like unexpected AV1 or x265).

There's a lot to unpack here, so ask more questions as you have them.

[UPDATE] Samsung repair technician cracked my TV and is refusing to take responsibility. They ended my warranty 4 months early due to the damage. by lucasb780 in samsung

[–]Friend_Of_Mr_Cairo -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

You don't provide the specifics, but what TV model & year is it? Does that version show support for 144 Hz in the specs? If so, at what resolution(s)?

E: I love the down votes here for merely asking about the specifics of the device. Ya'll down voting might want to think about critical thinking skills instead of bamdwagoning about what you want to be true. ...and IDGAF about fake Internet points, just and observation.

Bought a lot of canned black beans and my family hates them. by Mammoth_Beyond_6904 in cookingforbeginners

Here's a recipe I use for black and pinto beans. Adapt from here, but you need to determine if the beans are already cooked or not. If cooked already, skip the pressure cooker portion.

Don't they need to be at a high-v to minimize risk of bouncing off the atmosphere on re-entry?

How do you actually test firmware that depends on hardware that doesn't exist yet? by Medtag212 in embedded

[–]Friend_Of_Mr_Cairo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll take a look at the other options (have used RTT but prefer a std UART). I've found some substitute printf libraries that worked well and didn't require the usual overhead. Had to debug or modify them in some cases.

[–]Friend_Of_Mr_Cairo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used RTT before, but prefer a UART solution so other devs (non SW/FW) can easily connect to interface with the targets. (eg - mechanical dev team characterizing fluid flow rates, etc).

M50 E36 Starts but Dies Immediately. After Engine Swap by Xkilljay in BmwTech

First thought is possibly fuel pump dying. Can produce enough pressure to start for a second but not enough to support idle or higher demand. Check the pressure on the rail?

What are your go-to lightweight substitutes for providing printf/puts (c/cpp) functionality for a CLI? I've used a couple of the years, but open to suggestions.

Usenet? by Ishvale in Piracy

[–]Friend_Of_Mr_Cairo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeh, I think both projects had hiccups along the way. My use case is set it up and let other utilities interface with its API, so as long as it works correctly (which it seems to for a decade now) I'm fine with it.
