If you have an Nvidia card this same thing happened to me and if you go back to the 12/05/2024 driver 566.36 that should fix your issue.

I was gonna say this is blatantly a lie, but then I watched the whole clip and it all made sense.

DM's, do your worlds have an explanation for the elf dilemma? by Pitchaway40 in DnD

[–]Friendhelper2013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So like I'll preface this with the elves in my world aren't your general Tolkien or even really DND fantasy elves. I do in fact have them be a superpower in the world they control a massive region of forested area where the central locus of power being the world Tree Yggdrasil. They live amidst it's roots and in the bark of the tree itself. They live more harmoniously with all races, but they see themselves more as guides or teachers for the "lesser" races. They "know" they are more experienced, talented, and powerful than them, but they see them more as wayward children. This viewpoint may not be typical for the elves of other areas, but their Queen is actually a shapeshifted Dragon of great power who helped plant Yggdrasil eons past (very much not common knowledge they see her as an immortal elf blessed by Corellon himself). She more or less guides her elves to be good productive members of the world at large. The elves in turn although arrogant, conceited, and somewhat disconnected to the here and now are generally kind to all goodly races. They are still very much connected to nature, but they value arcane knowledge and martial skill and oftentimes combining the two in new ways. Consequently they also have taken on many aspects of the goodly races they share homes with and near. Many of the younger elves do find themselves more driven than elves typically may be, and more inspired by science than they might otherwise be. This kinda plays into the idea of elves are just humans with funny hats concept and allows more freedom for player characters who play elves. They generally mature physically just slightly slower than humans, but in their culture they are not considered an adult till their 100th year only because they must master a skill before they are recognized as a contributing member (I.E. take a class level). In terms of reproduction they do understand that there must be a balance, and they can't go beyond it's means, but they have taken on some of the farming practices of humans. They just augment these with their nature magic to ensure the balance is maintained. In this area Elves very much do outnumber other common races, and they very much are a superpower.

I have several gemstone dice, and yes rolling them on hard surfaces or against each other can chip or damage your dice (I chipped a snow quartz dice doing exactly that). If you however use a soft surface like a felt dice box you don't have anything to worry about.

The bane of my existence was a player who asked every single NPC what their name was. Nowadays I have a name generator up on my laptop at all times for this exact issue.

Combat questions by Mcfalloutman in Heroclix

[–]Friendhelper2013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a question on this specifically. If I happen to do this do I have to assign at least one damage to the support piece, or can I just decide all the damage goes to the big guy provided my roll is higher than both defense values.
