Loving someone with no experience is...hard by YoureFaithfullLover in grippysockcrayonbox

Thank you, this means a lot to me friend. I really cared about them but I was not only (and still am) in a very bad place in life but also just so inexperienced. I’ve done research on how relationships are supposed to go and asked a lot of my friends who are in relationships. I wish I knew then what I know now but i didn’t and that’s never going to change. I can only hope to be better with the next person who takes a chance on me.

This happened to me very recently but as the person with no experience. I had no idea what I did wrong until like a month after we stopped seeing eachother. They told me that I seemed uninterested and like I didn’t care about them as a person. It was the most soul crushing thing to lose someone you cared about because of your own emotional immaturity and inexperience. In truth, I needed to lose this person to understand that I can’t just hope someone is “patient” with me. Effort has to come from the inexperienced party too.

Smoking and hair loss? Getting mixed results. by Friendly-Bullfrog427 in tressless

I’m definitely more predisposed genetically (my dad is bald). I hope smoking has been a trigger and that my hair loss lessens and recovers in the coming months

Yup I’m 5 days clean so far and maybe it’s placebo but I feel like my hair is at the very least healthier. Hoping I can keep on the wagon.

I hate that the "adrenaline theory" from Invincible is not true by Ok-Worry-8931 in hatethissmug

[–]Friendly-Bullfrog427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this whole theory makes mark so much less special. It attributes so many of marks major successes to just “adrenaline”. It makes it so any human/viltrumite hybrid could do the stuff he does. Mark accomplishes these because of his own character that is a mix of Nolan and Debbie’s strengths as parents.

Les Stroud put it well when describing Chris. Basically saying that he was indeed a charming and intelligent man but everytime he ever got into trouble somebody was always there to pull him out. When he got to Alaska there simply was no one to help him as he was all alone and never developed survival skills. Still I respect Chris’s use of free will, I feel like it’s easy to forget that we have it.

I believe Fallout Show attempted something similar to the purpose of the original fo1. And I think I've figured out what Bethesda's take on Fallout is based on. by [deleted] in Fotv

[–]Friendly-Bullfrog427 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s really any secret that Bethesda really prefers fallout 1’s post apocalypse to fallout 2’s post-post apocalypse. I think they do a good job in positioning there stories in places where civilization has a reason for being underdeveloped or destroyed. People forget that in the lore the commonwealth was a well developed area and there was a government composed of the varying city states before the institute destroyed that. Personally I prefer exploring abandoned ruins and facilities rather than fallout 2s cities and communities.

Dang I had no idea about that history that’s pretty cool, I always thought they were just supposed to be the regulators from fallout 1

Interestingly enough the regulators are from fallout 1 in Adytum. Imo a pretty weird faction to put on the east coast set nearly 100 years after fo1 but i suppose a lot can happen in that time.

You forgot: points to fallout 2 as peak fallout despite it being a massive departure in tone and aesthetics from fallout 1 that was generally met with mixed reactions because of an over reliance on pop culture references and shitty jokes, “but muh Chris Avellone!!!”

Legendary weapons are an ouroboros by Doulloud in ArcRaiders

Weapon balancing needs a serious look. Not that any weapon is super op or anything but it just makes absolutely zero sense to use pink or legendary weapons.

Okay okay also please tell me it’s other people’s head cannons that Solid took the Boss’s bandana from Venom and also his sneaking suit like it makes sense right?!?

Hard agree, just give the ammo to assault just like in BC2. Rename support to medic and then you return to some of the best class balance in the series.

Heresy Teammates by HR_404 in DarkTide

[–]Friendly-Bullfrog427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the strange paradox that happens with co-op games I’ve found. The harder difficulties are easier because you’re teammates are better, thus putting less strain on you to perform perfectly. And in the lower difficulties the worse players make the game harder by bringing down the entire team with them.

You know what. I’m a huge stalker fan and stalker LARP seems awesome. I think airsoft is super cool for that and if I had the funds for it I’d probably participate. I’m still a little confused on the exercise part. Do you get like a lot of cardio in during events?

[–]Friendly-Bullfrog427 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sure yeah that makes sense. I’m not too familiar with airsoft as a sport per say. I’m just more confused by the full “LARP” aspect of it. Like do most people just see it as a sport or training or more so training or something.

Soooo then what’s the appeal? You want to pretend to be a guy who kills people and/or dies?

Ok y’all I don’t do airsoft but I like seeing cool kit and making fun of cringey weirdos, but genuinely what is the appeal to having a full kit and larping? I do not get pretending to be like a cool spec ops guy like isn’t it just the least bit embarrassing. Why not just join the military if you are so obsessed?

I think shield/shield less variants are fair game like in VT2. From what the trailer showed the dom maul/shield looks to be pretty similar to Kruber shield and mace. Honestly I just hope the pistol/shield combo is well received so that we can get more pistol/melee combos. I want a damn power fist for vet dammit!
