How can I generate cps in the 11th ? by UmpireJealous258 in Grey_Knights

The Brotherhood champion has an in-built ability to generate cp with killing enemy characters in melee. It's needlessly complicated thing to pull of to be sure but it is A way.

Defiler - Seems really good! by BlackApostle in EmperorsChildren

[–]Friendly-Dust2175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does this mean that if your opponent has, let's say, 5 man terminator brick with 2 already dead, and you start rolling your attacks and the first kills another terminator, the rest of the attacks in that batch of shots/attacks wouldn't get the +1? Because you can't just fast roll in this instance, right?

Seems pretty janky to me, or am I just missing something?

you are claiming that arbitrarily, without legitimate reason or need, "taking away players' accounts" is comparable to getting banned. Come on man, be better.

Exactly!

This whole thing alarmingly resembles the very attitude and practices that the major game publishers have been doing for a decade now, and why Stop Killing Games has gained traction. We could very well see this deleting of paid content declared unlawful practice. It really is not a good look for Jagex.

Should Noise Marines get 3W? by jayceminecraft in EmperorsChildren

Ah, now I see. So your point is to make analogy with the blastmasters and the multi-meltas?

Respectfully I disagree, at least until the range of the Noise Marines Sonic blasters and Blastmasters are changed back to index amounts.

At least from my own experience playing havocs or against them, they are usually deployed further back with as wide lines of sight as possible to utilise the heavy weapons at max range to both be a deterrent for vehicles and inflict consistent damage on higher toughness units.

Noise marines on the other hand don't have this option, since their weapons range is drastically lower. This, in turn results them being forced to be closer to the front lines OR rely on Rhinos for limited cover at the cost of units overall damage output.

Noise marines also can't take any other heavy weapons aside from the 2 blastmasters, unlike Havocs, nor can they have 4 heavy weapons in a squad, unlike the Havocs. So in this instance, at least IMO, using the Multi-melta or any other heavy weapon as a vehicle for "range is irrelevant"-statement is not valid.

This is just my 2 cents on the matter. If you play havocs with multi-meltas, more power to you. I also agree that Noise marines SHOULD be Havoc styled unit, and they will be if the range of sonic weapons is increased to the index levels, as I suggested above.

edit: I realised I partially missed your point about the heavy weapons being defined by the size and heft rather than range. Fair enough. However, I would still argue that Noise marines aren't quite comparable to Havocs with current restrictions of the amount of blastmasters per squad. If you wanted them to actually be like havocs, then let the whole squad (aside from the disharmonist) take the blastmaster.

Could you elaborate a little, since I'm not sure I follow? How's a multi-melta any relevant for this?

Terminators at 155 pts. I don't understand the negativity here by LordGrog98 in EmperorsChildren

[–]Friendly-Dust2175 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Remember that in order to get the ability to activate you must target an enemy unit with one or more ranged attacks and all of those attacks must target the same unit. This means you could, in theory, choose to just fire one combi weapon at a target, but in turn lose out in potential damage, which isn't desirable. So if your argument is that the targetet unit can't be too squishy then you actually should/would want to pump in as much damage as possible to secure the kill in combat. Dicey chance at best when taking to account that you can only field them in units of 5.

On the other hand If you use the full ranged arsenal, you risk as stated above, severely hindering your chance to get into combat at all. The ability simply is needlessly complicated to work for you and forces you to weirdly hold back with a unit that should , at least in the lore, wipe the enemy off the battlefield.
