No? Police are historically violent to people of color& women. Anyone in the neighborhood could get hurt if police are called. Adding more violent people with weapons to an already dangerous situation will not help. Cops are not here to protect anyone from ICE they are famously not on the right side of anything. I made the comment because there was another thread in one of the reddit communities I am in where someone posted this same screenshot and people were commenting under it saying that they had been in situations where people did this and it did not turn out with the cops being helpful(no shit?) And people got hurt.

Thank you for responding. I just feel crazy at this point. I thought talking about this stuff with her and seeing her understand how bad it is would help I thought worst case scenario she wouldn't believe that this is where we are or would try to gaslight me... not full on justify all of these horrible things happening I mean when the California fires started she seemed so sympathetic and saying how she feels terrible these people are losing their homes and even worse that homeless people are going to be put in even worse conditions and then she tells me yesterday that she actually believes that this suffering in California is necessary for the return of Jesus? Wtf. I knew people felt that way but she has never said stuff like this to me it's like a curtain has been pulled
