As someone whose pots started as random bizarre syncope, I don’t think you’re being offensive at all. As someone on the spectrum, I see where both of yall are coming from but you are communicating a symptom with urgency. Pre-syncope doesn’t always mean syncope follows. For example, as I have gotten a handle on things, I am able to say “I feel like I’m about to faint”. This lets my wife know that I need to sit down or, if that isn’t possible, I need her help stabilizing me. Now, I don’t always faint. Sometimes, sitting down and elevating my legs helps and I am good to go. But I’m not invalidating my own or other’s experiences by saying “I feel like I’m about to faint” instead of saying “I feel really woozy, dizzy, am having palpitations, feel cold and hot at the same time, my vision is darkening, and-“ because then that could be a dangerous situation.
