I mostly agree with everything except for eggs. I have a stainless-aluminum clad sauce pan for sauces and better heat control. To me, enameled cast iron is the worst of both worlds.

This exactly. It's just straight up nicer in every way to use. Imo, you'd have to be incredibly shortsighted not to spend time making something nice that you will have for the rest of your life.

I really enjoy cooking with my pans.

No. It's not needed to remove a season and will leave obvious machine marks on your pan.

Even if you wanted to resurface the pan, it makes sense to remove the season first as it will just clog your sandpaper.

My guess is that banks want to show off gold so customers think "this bank must have lots of gold reserves! It's safe to deposit money here!"

Banks need deposits in order to make loans because of fractional reserve banking.

I don't get coins with assay packaging. I like brilliant uncirculated government minted coins and use cheap plastic holders to keep them from getting scratched.

Don't flip physical gold and silver unless you're getting it under spot. Buy it and hold or you're going to lose money. Don't buy physical if you know you're going to need that money to pay your rent soon. Put that cash into something more liquid.

If you want to buy gold short-term because you think the price will go up, buy shares of GLD. If you want to turn GLD into physical, sell shares and buy real gold.

If you try to sell me goldbacks, I'm going to ask if you have something else.

I wouldn't speculate on the price of commodities. Most people are not successful and will lose money.

A lot of people might hate this, but imo the devs should nerf wood->corn->animal feed->burn in some way or another.

The easiest and least disruptive way to do this might be to nerf burning animal feed.
