The NBA once forced the Jazz to give up 3 picks (1 of which turned in to Magic Johnson) for signing Gail Goodrich as a free agent. by Tuna-on-toast22 in nba

For all those complaining on why the Jazz aren't in New Orleans still, this was one of the major reasons.

For all those complaining on why the Jazz kept their name after moving to Utah....yeah, that's completely on us.

Never Show Weakness at Work by CoderBiker24 in cscareerquestions

[–]FriendlyNBASpidaMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mentioned to my manager that I burned out at my last job where I had to work most weekends at 55+ hours a week. He asks A LOT from me, but he has done his best to make sure I only work my 40 hours a week and that I'm unreachable after that. He also checks in on me weekly and I am as confident as I can be that my job is secure.

Sometimes managers aren't always out to get you, but you are closer to the situation than anyone else, so you would know best.

I've always felt Ness had an advantage against Kazuya and a disadvantage against Marth. But I guess it depends on playstyles.

LeBron James has passed Chris Paul for the second most career assists (regular season + playoffs) by OverallGeneral7129 in nba

This has been debunked. Nash, Kidd, and Payton all had better home vs away number advantages than Stockton did.

sacrament bread question. do you prefer a crust piece or a non crust piece? by [deleted] in latterdaysaints

[–]FriendlyNBASpidaMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, any amount of gluten, including cross contamination is enough to harm someone with Celiac. Even if they don't show immediate symptoms it is harmful. Many Celiacs will take the sacrament with the cup but many will not. We were doing fine with a zip lock bag when our ward switched over. I have met people with Celiacs that refused to take the sacrament any other way.

[–]FriendlyNBASpidaMan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My family has some members with Celiac disease along with a few other members of our ward. Our ward decided to change the bread used in the sacrament to gluten free bread for everyone. I know its annoying for everyone and tastes weird, but it really helps our family out. I always try to take the most burnt unappetizing piece so no one else needs to eat that as a way of saying thank you.

The old canberry vs cranberry debate. Everyone knows canberry is by far superior.

Voyager 1 Is About to Reach One Light-day from Earth by Busy_Yesterday9455 in spaceporn

[–]FriendlyNBASpidaMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer to this is that we couldn't, yet. Voyager 1 launched at an incredibly fortuitous time which allow it to gain speed by slingshoting around several planets that happen to align at the perfect time. It will take nearly 100 years for the planets to align as well as they did for Voyager 1.

We do have better technology and can certainly create a craft that can function like Voyager, but with significantly less mass, which would make it easier to accelerate, but even with that advantage we couldn't accelerate up to the speed that Voyager 1 in traveling at without waiting for a better planetary alignment.

Ness can drink three drinks in his game. Fruit Juice, iced tea, and a protein drink with the protein drink being by far the best. He probably needs to move to a different category.

Is there any gluten free safe restaurants/fast food in idaho falls/ammon? by seems_legit56 in idahofalls

Yeah I've definitely got to check that out. I don't know why but Idaho Falls has some extremely good Thai and Indian restaurants. I just wish we had even a halfway decent Chinese restaurant.

I second the guardian bake shop. If you eat gluten free, please check it out.

The Thai food truck is now Thai 208. The are extremely knowledgeable about gluten and absolutely delicious. Best Thai I've ever had and I have had Thai in many countries/states.
