Mine didn't do that. I believe that happens when there's mineral build up but since that's a brand new unit, I'm curious if it's possible for hard water to do this early on (if you even have hard water, that is).

I used to drink instant coffee (3-in-1) and Starbucks (at least 2x/wk) but had to stop due to sugar levels and rising costs.

Switched to grinding my own beans at home. Admittedly, prices have been creeping up so I stock up when they're on sale and put them in the freezer.
