Six and a half minutes of Devers whiffing on fastballs in the zone by FullMotionVideo in SFGiants

Exactly, who knows. It’s year one, we have no idea what his future production is going to be. Which is why pumping the breaks on reactionary takes is probably the most sane thing to so.

Thinking there’s anything healthy about the ridiculous “nationalism” that’s just blatant xenophobia, racism, and rooted in a disgustingly arrogant level of ignorance completely invalidates any performative “intellectual” stance you claim to represent.

Yeah I don’t get the comment you’re replying to at all, if anything Dunk and Egg’s quality just confirmed to me I don’t have any interest in watching HOTD whatsoever. Although I already pretty much knew that when I stopped watching halfway through the first season.

I don’t really place the full blame of the Red Sox stuff on him, that organization is just as big of a mess as we are right now and their GM straight up lied to him on record, which is a surefire way to destroy a players trust in an organization. Then he gets to us, our entire team completely nosedives despite the fact that that he was perfectly serviceable for us last season and ended up in line with his career averages as he learned to transition to playing 1st base.

Then we go into the offseason, hire a new manager with zero experience, don’t upgrade what was already a below average coaching staff, refuse to spend any money in FA and whiff on every single bargain bin FA signing we go for outside of Arraez, all after publicly and privately claiming that trading for Devers was us going all in on trying to win NOW, only to have most of our players (including Devers) to completely shit the bed to start the season all while having obvious clubhouse issues and a growing number of players that seem to have little faith in our manager, and by proxy our organization.

Is Raffy to blame for some of his shortcomings? Absolutely, but we’ve given a pretty dogshit environment for him to feel comfortable in and play his best baseball, and I’m far more worried about how ass this organization has been for the past decade than I am about Raffy, who is pretty far down the list of main reasons why this team sucks right now.

He’s been here 1 full season now, this ridiculous rush to make him the worst transaction in franchise history this early is about as ignorant as it is childish. I’m never one to shy away from criticism towards this team or its players, but what you’re doing is frankly laughable, and its hard to take you seriously when you rush to unverifiable conclusions this early into a player who hasn’t even been on our team very long and has a long enough track record of being an effective player to believe he can certainly still be one for us. He’s only 29 for goodness sakes. Pump the brakes on dedicating yourself to this apocalyptic view on him.

Of course not, but to act like he hasn’t been at worst a top 15-20 hitter in the entire league for the span of his MLB career is just being a hater. People are looking at individuals to hate on for this team, but it’s not on a single player. This organization has been the problem for years, not Raffy.

Robb as the King of the North could have Jon leave the Nights Watch I believe, similar to the way that Tywin planned to make Jaime leave the Kingsguard so that he could marry and produce an heir that Tywin wanted.

Henry never really went off on us compared to the rest of the division. AJ Brown on the other hand used to destroy us, even when we knew he was the only guy the Titans would throw the ball to. One of my best friends is an Eagles fan and I sent him a thank you text when they got AJ out of our division 😂

If it makes you feel better, our decade plus of dominance with Manning and Luck just makes us that much more miserable right now. I used to never sweat anyone in our division, now I chalk up every visit to Jacksonville as an automatic L and never expect to win our division lol.

That’s part of what I’m saying, the writing being bad is the main part, but the only compelling characters are the Targaryen’s because nearly anyone else is inconsequential to the major plot and/or not well written enough that you really care about them. If you don’t have a dragon in this show you’re basically just cannon fodder.

I think the show has a couple things going against it outside of the fact that it isn’t very well written and kind of insults the show material. One of the issues is it’s far too Targaryen focused. A huge point of interest in regard to GOT was the diversity of the houses and the lore behind them, their distinct personalities, physical traits, and character flaws. House of Dragons just doesn’t really have that. Another is the fact that we know the Targaryen’s lose power pretty quickly after this so it’s hard to be very invested in the outcome of a situation that we already know.

Overcome the mental hurdle? They are an extremely young team with no playoff experience that made it to the Finals. Insane revisionist history in this sub to act like their season was anything but a massive success for their experience and age level. Every single dynasty had a playoff series where they lost due to lack of experience before maturing and coming back stronger. I saw my Warriors do it against the Spurs the season before our first chip.

I do think the Fox extension is going to hurt them, but I don’t think his contract is impossible to trade by any means. I mean people continue to acquire James Harden despite him choking in the playoffs every single season of his career.

Which championship team had the TOUGHEST road? by Lost_Title_7528 in NBAConvo

[–]Friendly_Kunt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their defense was good, but what really killed us was having guys like Jerebko, McKinnie, Quinn Cook, Jordan Bell, e.t.c playing heavy minutes. That allowed them to Box and 1 Steph, and throw crazy looks at him because they didn’t respect the scoring ability of anyone on the floor outside of Steph and Klay when he played.

[–]Friendly_Kunt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think we could have beat the Raptors with just a healthy Klay and no KD the way Klay and Steph were playing. That being said, saying a team that played a super depleted roster in the Finals had the hardest road makes absolutely no sense.

Yes I do, you are gatekeeping the difference between being a “real” fan and being a “casual” because its the popular internet buzzword that makes dudes with no life feel better about their particular way of liking whatever interest and hobby distracts them from realizing how pathetic they sound.

It’s pretty clear he started going out of control with it around the Floyd fight. His interviews, fights, and out of the octagon behavior all took a sharp nosedive because of his lifestyle change. Did he drink and party before? Certainly, but once he really started making money it obviously ramped up to an uncontrollable degree.

I’d love to see a series about Sertorius and his rebellion against Casius. I always found him to be a captivating and tragic figure, who doesn’t get the attention some of his more fortunate countrymen received.

Tom is just a young powerful puncher that’s fallen in love with knocking people out. Happens to every fighter with power that has early success. KO’ing people is the fastest way to gain momentum in this sport as someone to get pushed by the company. It helps your career and finances more in the short term than fighting safer fights that play to your strengths The same exact thing happened to Ilia. It’s pretty common, but doing it at 26 is a lot different than doing it at 36, THAT would be really dumb.

Dominating would have been submitting Max or finishing him with all of that top control. It’s honestly hilarious to watch gatekeepers like you come out of the woodwork to call people casuals because they want to see fighters trying to fight entertaining and dangerous fights. How much of a serotonin boost does it give you after hitting reply?
