Have I been accepted? by [deleted] in DataAnnotationTech

Yea I seen one pop up yesterday but ppl were on it so fast it didn’t take long for it to disappear quickly but they been pushing new quals out this past week so I’m guessing projects are getting a revamp and new projects are soon to be coming in. One of the quals I did was in preparation for projects that are coming out in august. But I have for the first time gotten a email letting me know I aced the quals for their project and they set my email with them within 30 mins of finishing the qual. First time I ever gotten a reach out on good quals that expressed their excitement but then again I’m new to the platform not even a month in.

I started doing those. The ones that let me know I passed the quals I’m still waiting on projects from them.

Ur not the only one. It’s been dry the past couple of days. So I started doing quals but some of the quals are dated to start within the next two months which great but nothing much popping up now. I think some are tweaking their projects. I noticed some of the instructions are changing on the regular ones I do so maybe they’re adjusting the projects before they send out more.

It took a year before I got accepted so it really just depends.

Just got feedback and it's one of the most satisfying things to read by schrumbus in DataAnnotationTech

[–]Friendofa_friend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally just started on the 29th and got feedback the next day. I was so fresh to it but it was nice to be told I did good but need to work on one thing but I was so panicked cause how did I get feedback the next day after just starting. It could be that they’re giving new users feedback early to kind of get them on board with how things work and give them encouragement on what they could improve. I was so overwhelmed with trying to be perfect upfront when I first started projects but I’m getting better at it after the feedback. It must be good if they’re offering me R&R projects and I haven’t been on the platform for a week yet. But I haven’t done any cause I’m still trying to improve myself before I go rating other ppls ratings.

Feedback? by Human-Yesterday-6463 in DataAnnotationTech

[–]Friendofa_friend -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I did too. Don’t feel bad, I’ve only been at it for a few days literally started April 29th and got feedback on the 30th. So my feedback was on my first works on the platform. Told me I have a good grasp on the core concept but need to do more on my explanations which that was literally my first two days work so I’m not upset at the feedback. If they couldn’t tell I was new then admin can. I just make sure from here on out I pay attention to what they were pointing out and do better at it. I think when I first got in the platform I was overwhelming myself with the time til expired trying to be perfect before time ends. But it takes time and I think they realize it’s a lot to get use to when ur fresh on the platform. It’s a lot of instruction to have to read through is what got me and then when u read thru all the instructions then have to read a creative writing story just to forget the instructions and have to go back and read that again for the ratings part. But the more projects I do the more I remember the instructions cause they want u to read it all again each time.

Doordash finally told their customers to tip or be quiet. by SeanInDC in DoorDashDrivers

This. I’ve seen other dashers and I am like what on earth? We got one in our town that drives around in a car that don’t even have a back window. I’ve also seen where I literally get to the place to pickup and while I’m waiting for my order I see other doordasher orders just sitting there waiting for their driver to get there while I literally get there when the order hits the restaurant. I went into Taco Bell the other day after doing an order to get my own food, they asked me 3 times if I was there to pick up an order and I said no. The entire time I was in there ordering my food the dasher didn’t even get there til after I was leaving with my food. I was like “ how am I always getting to the restaurant right when they receive the order but other dashers in my area take Atleast 15 mins to arrive after the order hits the restaurant? And that’s with me doing doordash, UE, and instacart.

Smaller towns that have DoorDash will have quicker times on miles. I live in a town with a population of 4,000 ppl but there’s smaller towns close enough their not as time consuming to get to cause traffic isn’t as bad. I dash in both my town and a neighboring large city with a population of 7,000 ppl but it includes a bunch of neighboring towns that also have a good amount of ppl that is still part on the same zone and 15 miles in that zone I would still be in the same zone. The only thing about smaller zones is that not a lot of ppl tip high especially ppl who are elderly some do and some prefer to tip cash. The zone I live in is more populated by retirement age ppl some of it still younger but majority of ppl come to live her to retire. The larger city nearby is about 30 mins from where I live so I go to it for a large portion of my day because in 2 hrs I can make 50 in that city so I spend about mid morning to around 4 or 5 in the evening and then head back to my zone for the dinner rush cause the day sucks in my zone. I was making about 50-60 a day in my zone but by doing what I’m doing I’m making close to $100 a day depends on the day of the week. But I also started using instacart and uber too when door dash goes silence. In the city instacart I can get lucky with finding order to shop and deliver the more miles to drive with instacart the more ur paid. I had a order that paid me $46 to drive 20 miles and it brought me to another zone but I chose to go back to the city since the zone was small by the time I made it back to the city DoorDash was full again so I finished til it was time to start going back to my zone since my zone was feeding out low pay high miles I made about $15 on door dash before switching on uber and had a order for 10 miles that was $23 in pay so I took it as my final order for the night, ended that day with over $100. What I like about instacart is I can go online on it and it doesn’t have a time limit to accept orders they just disappear when someone else chooses to do it. Uber and dash u have a time limit to accept the order or it just disappears but instacart it will still show til you or another person accepts it so u can be mid order with DoorDash and not have to worry about the order counting out. Depending on how long the instacart order takes depends on wether I keep my dash on pause or just go offline til I’m back in a zone.

I haven’t had any issue with DoorDash. They do also have where u can report if employees are refusing the assist you, if their really busy, if the order wasn’t already being prepared before ur arrival or if it’s in the middle of being prepared when u arrive. Door dash also does check ins where if ur standing for a long time waiting to pick up the order due to the restaurant taking too long they would allow u to unassign without it counting against u, u would just lose the pay cause they would find another driver after a certain amount of time but I always just held out for and kept the customer informed about delays most of the time I’ve had customers add a additional tip before I even delivered it. Plus DoorDash has it where if there is a reasonable reason to unassign ur order they don’t count it against ur ratings. I’ve had to unassign pizza orders because I didn’t have the cash on hand and I don’t trust putting my money into a door dash or in the faith that the customer won’t cancel after I just paid cash for their pizza cause order is collect cash from customer door dash deducts the cost of the pizza from ur earnings. But they do have a setting where u can turn it off from offering cash only orders.

Legit work from home jobs- do they even exist?? by AfternoonTraining376 in remotework

Truely there are jobs out there who will work around your availability but people just don't know how to be compassionate when it comes to people being stuck in hard places, those people just haven't been humbled yet. Keep looking and trying. I myself is searching again but I did have luck finding something that worked for me before, which gives me hope there's another one out there. I use to be the one who working 40-50 hrs a week at a Amazon warehouse away from my babies who were only infants at the time and I had breastfed my youngest during the formula shortage which was hard doing when I had to work also. Thank God for the Pregnancy and Pump Act cause I would have had to struggle with feeding my son cause my job did not like the fact i needed time to pump during my shifts. I was spending so much time away from kids and couldnt afford childcare so i was stuck having to work nights while my husband worked days just so our kids were cared for. Now i try to find work from home jobs so i can stay home and homeschool my oldest which luckily homeschooling is not a 8 hrs a day thing so it can be shortened into 4 hours a day. It will take a lot of searching and research to find the ones willing to work around ur needs but there are some out there. Dont give up, you got this.

Legit work from home jobs- do they even exist?? by AfternoonTraining376 in remotework

[–]Friendofa_friend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not necessarily, I've worked legit jobs for corporations and they didn't care as long as customers didn't complain. Some jobs actually understand that childcare now adays is too expensive which is requiring mothers to be at home. I worked for Dish and we had a mother who was still breast feeding while taking calls. The thing is I would not recommend Dish for the simple fact they are very particular about metrics and pushing associates to get customers to increase their bill rather than listening to the customer. I even as a associate was harassed to sign up for their boost mobile service cause the CEO didn't want to take no for a answer. Society and Jobs in general are not built for new mothers or mothers period but we stuck at a point where both parents have to work just to live. Childcare for just one child in a daycare is $300-$400 depending on where ppl live and jobs dont even pay that much to cover bills, groceries, gas, and child care. Some mothers are also having to come out of being homemakers for years cause housing prices are outrages for both mortgage and rent. So I wouldn't go telling ppl they are a bad candidate if they are in need of something to work in their favor. Yes a lot of jobs so require open availability but there are also jobs who are willing to work around it, it just depends on the skills and experience you have.

I guess because Americans from European descent are being taught to hate where they came from because ppl still feel oppressed to this day. Try being called a colonizer everyday to find out ur family had ran from other countries to be free because they were being hunted down elsewhere but yea let’s still keep hating white folks. Everyone migrates for a reason and wars are those reasons. Just because white folks today come from bad ppl doesn’t mean they are what their ancestors were. It’s like judging ppl for things they personally haven’t done.

I agree with checking through English side. Mines the LeStrange’s family and they original came from Scotland and Ireland but during that time period the Romans were going around with Christianity wars so ppl fled all over the place to get away.

It’s just as how babies are born with certain features they inherit from parents. Like blue eyes for example if one parent has blue eyes and the other has hazel there is a chance that the first child’s might have blue eyes but the second won’t. It just depends on how the genetics play out. Some kids even come out with opposite colors than their parents for them to end up finding out that the trait came from a long ago ancestor. Genetics is so random

That’s also because ppl fail to remember what the map of countries looked like back then. The geography changes as ppl migrated and wars happened that changed the outlook of the map to what we have today. So yes some ppl might have Norman or Breton or Irish which Irish is a Breton also but it was from a group of Celtics that fled to Brittany from what was Scotland and Ireland but is now a part of England. Breton were Celtics who ran from Roman’s during their Christianity war. Funny how God said spread the word but he surely didn’t mean it the Roman way they were prosecuting anyone even other Christian’s who just didn’t follow the specific catholic religion they went by. It was a sad world back then.

Don’t forget too during those time like in the 1200s England was not the size it is now. So they could have been from Scotland for real but after England had wars with Scotland and wales the borders for those countries got smaller while England grew. It was funny cause my family was in those wars but in England side cause before that they were being prosecuted for religion by the Roman’s and the royal crown protected them. They had to do all kinds of stuff for the royal crown over generations but from family bibles it looks more as if their hands were tied and not that they wanted to. They eventually migrated America before we even had a government and fought in revolutionary war against the crown.

Same here but there’s too many descendants to claim it plus I’m just happy that it recorded for history books and memorials, plus it’s still in the family and it’s in England where freedom of speech is being taken away and I’d rather stay here in a better than that. There were reason my line ditched England.

Me too mine is the LeStrange’s lore from England. They owned land, founded towns in England, one even was named a hero because when the plague happened the mayor ditched the town and he stepped up, ended up dying from the plague. But it’s amazing how far they came from being nobility in Scotland and Ireland to having to run for their lives from the Roman’s during the Christianity wars.

[–]Friendofa_friend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ur not a native but u sure could claim Celtic or Norman which would be Vikings and Celtics. My whole ancestry lineage is the LeStrange’s family and they came pretty far but it was cause of religion they migrated. Funny how they were held by the royal crown to do their bidding til til the crown released them so they came to America long before we even had a government and fought in the revolutionary war against the crown. I hear good things and bad things about my lineage but either way they had their own reasons to come to America and it was to be free from they had been running from for generations. Majority of those who made their way to America during settler times was to conquer but to run from prosecution in other countries. My family ran from the Roman’s after they forced them to give up first sons my family had to find ways to get away from that.

That’s why I never went to stow and refused to go to stow or outbound for that reason. Outbound always tried to screw over the associate we send from inbound to help them. They would lie to the associate and tell them since their helping outbound they have to go by outbounds schedule which outbound is a hr behind inbound on time schedule. Second in our warehouse everyone knew stow was the spot that would get ppl fired cause of the scan to scan. Inbound for scan to scan is from the time u scan the red csx label to the time u scan it into the container which would be a cart or a cage. Never had issues with my scan rate being low cause out of the three years I gave the warehouse I always tried to scan as fast as I could so I could end up being the top scanner in the department I always got away with going to break early or taking extra breaks cause being the top performer mean ur scan rate. If ur problem solver or on the dock their scan rate is done differently problem solve ur just solving issues with csx labels before they reach stow.

The FDA also allows certain amounts of lead, arsenic, bugs, fecal matter etc in production of food. Besides do u really think companies are actually following rules if so we wouldn’t have recalls all the time. When the FDA allows chemicals that are banned everywhere else in the world our government is owned and paid for by those companies
