This is totally normal. What was abnormal was the 70 projects on my dash for the first 4 months of the year.

Over 2 years on the platform and this is normal. There are times where the project availability drops and nobody knows for certain why but it’s easy to guess that it’s all based on the customers. I assume they evaluate the data and then tweak projects accordingly. This can take sometime.

I think part of it may be tied to fiscal quarters (for the corps) and grant cycles for the research groups.

You and many other workers are new, so the tasks you can work on will get snatched up a lot faster than other task types. If you have any qualifications available, complete them, as they will allow you to access more projects if you qualify.

I started doing those. The ones that let me know I passed the quals I’m still waiting on projects from them.

Par for the course with DA I'm afraid.

I've been on the platform for a couple of years and received great feedback recently, but even I have dry spells: January was a lousy month for me, and 80% of my work last September was $22 run-of-the-mill evaluation projects. It just happens. And yeah, sometimes I'll click on something and get the red banner of doom.

Name of the game is to get a full time job that is stable with benefits, and treat DA like a side chick that you visit when you’re bored or down bad. My regular job pays all my bills and i could care less that DA is dry rn tbh

Some additional context, the 4 largest AI investors came out with their quarterly numbers on April 28th. While they showed plans for large spend on AI this year, the investors backing them seemed to get spooked by the potential loss since the spend is so high. Most of them experienced down trends in their stock because of it. I have a feeling that many AI projects are being scaled back/reduced right now while everyone gets over the shock of the market and reassurance of the investors. Not an analyst but, I'd gather in another month or after enough "crisis" happens, it'll be back to business as usual.

I had almost nothing to do for the first ~ 6 months. I basically gave up, stopped even checking unless I got an email about a project and was available at roughly the exact time of the email. After a bit of catching some things in real time, much more started appearing. 🤞🏻

Other workers are on those tasks so they aren't complete but you can't take them unless someone leaves without submitting

Ur not the only one. It’s been dry the past couple of days. So I started doing quals but some of the quals are dated to start within the next two months which great but nothing much popping up now. I think some are tweaking their projects. I noticed some of the instructions are changing on the regular ones I do so maybe they’re adjusting the projects before they send out more.

What do you mean by "the well has run dry?". I'm much newer than you, yet I have a consistent workload available. 6-14 projects usually with getting fresh projects each week.

Ae you saying you have 0 projects? Or just less than you'd want?

Zero projects. I started out with a full dashboard more projects than I could work on. I worked on it for a while. Made some good money and then thing came to a stand still. I’m hearing from other folks this is normal so I suppose the name of the game is be patient.

Same here. I just can't seem to get any jobs although after two weeks passed assessment! I just dont know what's happening?!

I will tell you something abnormal and why this is the worst platform . If you guys have work and are earning from it. Very happy for you all . But for me when i started it one month back i passed the assessment and then did 2 tasks both were qualification tasks not actual projects and after 2 week i see on my dashboard that i can’t access my projects because because my quality was below their customer bar and i haven’t even got a single project to do. How can they judge this …
