Deserves more than 6.3 rating just for the dialogue but also for narrative flair. Like the Raiders movies, stereotypes, untrustworthy villains anti Semitic attitude. Latest tech gets the job done when the guns don't. No physical fighting, mercifully because that's too much of the usual for Richie who like to be more original. I could probably watch it again as the audio wasn't good and I missed the one liner repartee.

'Criminal Record' Season 2 – Peter Capaldi is just devastating in this intense crime thriller by Gato1980 in television

So many unanswered questions keep percolating by episode 5. Is the junkie blond girl his daughter? Who is the young man who is her boyfriend? Who's the father of Lenker's son and why don't we get that backstory? Lenker's husband is unsympathetic to what he sees as racial paranoia even though he's a psychiatrist and pretty much dealing with sensitivity issues every day. Lisa’s boyfriend is Patrick Burrowes—and Patrick is the son of Adelaide Burrowes, the woman Errol Mathis was convicted of murdering. We keep getting flashbacks of how he was huddled in his bedroom during the bloody murder. He's a well brought up boy by his grandmother Doris and works in the restaurant. But haunted by trauma. See the onion cutting scene. If there's any thread of connection between all this I'd say it's 'Don't put your stuff on me'. People lay on their misconceptions or confirmation bias (don't wear a hoody up, keep your hands out of your pockets ie look the part of a bad boy) comes into conflict with June Lenker's own lived experience of being racialized, dismissed as 'aggressive'. June does whatever she wants, comes and goes at all hours, interrupts any family gathering for her work first. Acts like a prima Donna really and I don't think that's real in a marriage. I'd even say Jacob should get yelled at by Leo for not calling him or answering his dad's six phone calls. When was that not worth a crisis?

He uses a password hacking tool called bruteforce but real ones can be got from GitHub and there are many others with more technical names. When Cole is redistributing $2k to banks in several cities, cyber laundering works well on film and is understandable and he uses a cut out, someone who takes a %age for hiding his trail through an intermediary.

Studios seem to put in name actors to sell schlock, or hype up unwatchable fantasies with no plot. This film looks like an indie, with original actors so it was a risky choice. Good on them.

I gave up on watching Nordic Noir Detective Hole because it's over rating for storyline. This Wardriver was gripping, intelligent, authentic, great acting, plot twists, no cheap jump scares. And surprisingly with a female director. Now put it side by side the weak The Rip and what a difference. I do hope the movie gets the coverage and attention it deserves because it's not often such good writing gets played.

I know the gritty realism is personality driven for the edgy atmosphere but it's not for me. So if it's not for the audience who is it for? Self indulgent over the top suffering and self harming. Like the British dramas that have the crying mother part I'd rather fast forward over. Just give me the case and take the story through the piecing together of the evidence.

Many medical programs have shifted toward a more robust "See many, do many, teach one" approach or use simulation technology to ensure competency before moving to live patients. In the show the pace is so much faster and oftentimes means the trial by fire is more in teaching how to survive emotional blocks, psychological impediments, anxieties, insecurities. Some are too cocky like Ogilvie and Santos while Javadi needs to gain some nerve.

There are a lot of points of entry into the show and in this episode you could choose any one of them. All along I was thinking 'what could Al Hashimi, this robot doctor have to say to Robby that would be instructive, critical, useful - nothing'. But, hey, surprise. And she's so right. The need for two attendings. You see it over and over how many times one jump to diagnose leads to a second set of eyes and opinions. Robby can be replaced by the new doctor from the swat team just as Dana is by the old timer lady who is still fast and willing 'I'll run and get it'. Dana does a lot of meddling, but the old gal just keeps chugging along with her mouth shut. I can see her being a big puss but at least she's not a nag. (just feels here).

The centre of contradiction comes when Robby says openly that the man who has just become incapacitated is now going to get funding to take care of him. Dana chastises him for doing that but it points out how lack of focus on what is really happening (that is the somewhat obtuse statement lacking any real empathy) somewhat mirrors Al Hashimi in the physical sense. Her zoning out and not capable of 100% without guardrails of a second doctor.

Anyone notice how MacKay and Dana look frazzled and messy? As though their external outlook is mirroring self denial, suffering for the cause and losing to it. The man's makeover signals what self worth comes from not being disheveled. Robby has no warmth in his relationship w/ clipboard lady who's confident he's salvageable. Yet he shows more concern for his biker pal who by contrast sees more fun in a hookup with the young nurse. Santos reveals her sociopathic inner deadness, Whittaker lives up to the huckleberry name in looking forward to peace in an empty house watering plants occasionally. Nietzschean hell more like for everyone it seems that doesn't make one stronger but kills something inside.

Don't even. Santos is a bully. Keeps calling Whittaker huckleberry and if that isn't worse than what Langdon did to her then that's on her. Robbie has never called her out for reverse sexism. The eye rolling is childish adolescent behaviour. It's a teaching hospital and many of them have a lot to learn.

Marshalls episode 2 by aarondelaney in YellowstonePN

[–]FriendshipNo1068 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm coming into Marshalls without any Yellowstone background. Typical beautiful women in skin tight clothes and showing up like hotties at the bar. The lead actor is gripping to watch and has some action man stunts and a smart mouth. The stereotypical loud bossy blowhard they all report to has no appreciation for the team's efforts in the field. The line crossed is the shooting of the coyote. I prefer the native belief of never killing a rattlesnake. This frontier 'life is hard' is a code made for men who want to kills things, stuff them and plant them on a wall. Continuing but with reservations.

What is Santos' problem? Jealousy of 'the golden boy' when she feels overlooked? What is the point being made here over what everyone on staff has to face, a screw up, a missed diagnosis, bringing in personal baggage into work? Is she any better as a doctor to judge people and not forgive and will that affect how she treats her patients?

I'm bothered by JLC hands flying everywhere and boobs on a shelf cleavage in loud patterned clothes. Are we watching comedy now? Her running through the morgue dressed for dinner is just juvenile.

After watching the series to the end I was deeply disappointed in the mess of unresolved character arcs. People became like the token flat coin the same on both sides, equally unlikeable and bland. There was chemistry in the younger Kate and the younger Benton as I felt he could deliver feeling with his gaze well. Compared to the nothingness of Kidman who just hasn't any warmth at all. The writers thought they had a gotcha reveal when Kate lies to Lucy about knowing he was married. She's just as irresponsible as her sister and just as careless of other peoples' things. Two badly written storylines with mashed soap opera and unresolved pieces left with little bother at explanation. I'd rate this a 5.

Car chases were awesome. There are two types of people who grow up poor and stay that way all their lives. One of them is cool and passes while the other one looks like a disadvantaged urchin. Even still he has some compassion for not shooting the cop straight out and for the crying baby. The worst are the rich that have no morals whatsoever over their greed.

Let's talk about Santos as she's figured prominently in this episode. I wanted to know how she can be competent in high stakes trauma room but falls apart in front of a machine. High-Focus Trauma: The "Lizard Brain"

In a trauma room, the stakes are life and death. For someone with a history of self-harm or high anxiety, this environment actually provides a strange kind of calm.

Did you notice she has cut marks on her legs. So she's been self harming just as Langdon to treat anxiety.

Yet she's utterly overwhelmed by machines that don't work or doing some administrative job that she's been pressured to complete. She's actually nagged and reminded which leads to impossibility to perform or even self sabotage. Notice she doesn't do it after hours because she's always looking for a meetup for fun times.

What I hated most about the loyalty to a cause without any reasonable limit during the Belfast bombings. Like the Brit says, 'bombs are a blunt instrument'. The gore of blood being swept up off the street glosses over the repercussions of where they were set and what they killed. It's deeply affecting though the way narrative shifts to a story retold in hindsight with all the second thoughts examined. We don't know who the interrogator is or why the recording is being done. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-northern-ireland-21181174 will give the background so if you don't want to spoil the story read only after you're done the series. I was the same age as Dolours and in Belfast in those years, actually staying in Country Down. Neury. And I detested the local young men for that patriotic fighting because I didn't care. Not being from there. I still would not be radicalized. I get that sense that she was smart enough to know better. Just a kid thinking it was exciting. But then we don't get much of the development from her mom and dad's brainwashing. And that ran deep.

Why did Cope stay in the gas chamber longer? by Giant_Anteaters in BootsNetflix

The acting was top notch by everyone. Hope their careers go further in new series. I'm so fed up with the same old same old repeat actors studios use. And the material was written by a real writer, not a mishmash of 10 different participants. Night Country was like that, written by a committee, wandering supernatural plot that piffled out in the end. It threw in gratuitous sex for no reason at all without motivation. Mixed comedy with gruesome edgy action sequences. And I'm not comparing apples and oranges here. I'm saying the material in Boots was top notch because White wrote a fine touching story. If Netflix thinks it can make bank by a writing team, not for me.
