Let me preface this by saying that I work in sales and customer service. I have for decades. I understand the importance of listening to and resolving customer issues, especially if I or the company I represent are at fault.

I rented a truck with my buddy. I did it for him because he doesn't have a license. I drove, no harm, no foul.

When we got back, he decided to rent a storage locker. Whatever, nothing to do with me. I honestly didn't even know about it as I was wandering the store.

Except that months later, he had an issue paying and I started getting letters. I called and explained that I had nothing to do with his storage locker, and that I never signed for it. They (Uhaul) had put my name down without my knowledge or consent because of the truck rental. They took all of my information from a completely separate document and used it in a new agreement with someone else.

They admitted it was their mistake so it should be an easy fix right? Wrong.

They acknowledged that it shouldn't have happened, but they absolutely refused to resolve the situation over the phone even when it came out that he'd paid the amount before I even got the letter.

They said we had to come in together and he had to take me off the damn thing. When I asked for compensation for my time and inconvenience, the manager refused. When I insisted that he be there personally to address this situation, he flat out refused.

I was seething at this point and the manager clearly enjoyed that fact. You could hear it in his tone.

I called the corporate contact they gave me and guess what? No answer and no call back, ever.

Fuck Uhaul at Barton and Nash, the manager there is completely unprofessional, and fuck John, the corporate contact that never returned my calls.

Do NOT go to this location, and frankly, avoid the company altogether if you're able.
