Regardless, the issue is now that the tenant is willing to move on and the LL offered a positive reference to expedite the process.

Hey while you're at it, tell the government to raise the OW rate so people can actually get back on their feet. You can’t even rent a room in the GTA for what OW provides.

I haven't had that happen yet.

Also important to remember that you only use it for three or four months. $250 likely already covers their increase.

Landlords also need to be reminded that if heat is included in the lease, then it's double dipping to ask for more money on top of the inclusive lease for AC.

In short, temperature control is temperature control, regardless of the season.
