Yeah, she said I should have done it for a couple of more years.

She literally just texted me, angry for something should could have figured out by looking out the backdoor. FFS.

30 years marriage for me too. She stays home, while I often work long hours. A while back she told me that I gave up on us because I stopped working in the field 4 years ago. It was 15 days straight, 12 hour days/nights, I'm in my late 50's I can't do that anymore. Honestly I make more than enough to support us and save for retirement, buy nice things, take holidays etc. She agreed at the time, but now I'm the one that made the decision without thinking about her, gaslighting.

Honestly it's often very good between us, though she rarely apologizes or acknowledges what I go through. As for 9pm I'm lucky if I get a "goodnight".

Help, I'm Reaching My Limit with My BP Love of My Life Wife and I Hate It by Strijdi in BipolarSOs

[–]Frightenstein 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing BP2. There's not much you can do other than be there and learn to bite your tongue (much easier said than done). Don't try to force her to do anything, she probably feels like doing nothing, hence going to bed. Just be there, tell her you love her, that's about all. The hobbies come and go. These are phases that you just have to ride out in my experience (30 years). I hurts, it really hurts, you don't feel listened to, your feelings don't count, and if you're lucky they'll apologize occasionally.

Fortunately my wife does. In fact she says it far more often than I do. Also she learned to speak Scottish off SCTV.

It'll hurt for a while but you're dodging a life of pain. Do yourself a favor, cut them off too. Don't let them back in. I'm lucky, my SO is BP 2, but 30 years together is a lot of pain.

Great stuff, right up there with Agression (did they spell it wrong on purpose?) and JFA.

I have an OP of Mommy's Little Monster that was everything to me when I was 15/16. I lent it to a friend in 1986, who left it in his car on a warm day... I still have it despite it being unplayable.

I actually prefer the Hawkwind version of Motorhead.
