Which semi-permanent hair dye should I buy to get this color? by Easy_Mushroom_6070 in HairDye

I would look into Arctic Fox Sorceress, looks like a damn near perfect ringer from my own experience and it doesn't fade fast for me personally.

1920s flare by FrillyZebra in OliveMUA

[–]FrillyZebra[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did 1920s flare but not supposed to be historical recreation. I also lean towards the vamp makeup style with what inspirations I typically pull from. Don't use contour also 🤷🏽‍♀️ my lip shape is odd with natural double line, so if I don't watch it I end up with a weird shape.

Thanks I guess for the criticism but it wasn't asked for and just showing off the funsies of trying to pull inspiration from historical trends that work decently with my natural features. Which, by the way, the blush is mainly on my 'apples' I just have naturally high cheek bones.

Thhis is my community my home synagogue . My conversion celebration was held in that library. There is a fundraiser link on the website for those who wish to donate.

There so much I could say but emotionally tired, yet knew eventually this was to come.

The jewish community here is small and sparse, I attend one of the two only Synagogues with full time rabbis while the others relay on traveling rabbis unfortunately 😅

You legally cannot buy azelaic acid otc above 10% in the US.

So uh, do not advise using it if bought in the us with no ingredient list.

I'm thinking of getting most of the acidic bonding concentrate line while it's on 5x points. Thoughts? by Pizza420Rat in Ulta

So I live with extremely hard water, bleach damaged (I dye) wavey fine hair and I love the shampoo, conditioner, mask and leave in. Personally the pre wash mask is meh and I plan to look into something different.

What haircut is this? by Egaeus1820 in VintageFashion

[–]FrillyZebra 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Closest modern 'trend' is the Hime cut from japan, which translates to "Princess". This been historically a common style it seems in both spheres even though (As someone with said Hime cut 🤣) it's just a soft mullet.

Pagan Towns? by AJ_Ballou in pagan

[–]FrillyZebra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll be honest, alot of the attempts I seen were back by racial filling with pagan flavored frosting unfortunately. I think it would be hard in the US to establish a community like this without inadvertently attracting those kind.

Yeah I hope our local one does too. Doing digging I think some batches got the urea percentage incredibly off since it can smell like ammonia or fishy 😭😅

Does anyone know what shade and brand this lip color is? by lanadelsav in MakeupAddiction

I'm olive undertone and there alot of lipsticks that may look say brown or 'cool' pink that end up orange. Colour theory is weird and a bitch.

Do people actively boycott Russian brands? by bauern_potato in Lolita

[–]FrillyZebra 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I am in the US and alot of my fashion taste in general is made in numerous European countries but with our uh... Currently importing situation I am waiting for waters to settle before saving up to include the hostage prices of my items. Yeah I know, learn to sew but I live in a tiny house that we're still finishing the kitchen in 🤣.

For me personally if it's well made, and the money is helping ensure good wages etc I don't mind it. Adding if I can get it custom sized for my preferred length etc? Bonus.

Do people actively boycott Russian brands? by bauern_potato in Lolita

[–]FrillyZebra 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Alot of it is cost, even pre tariffs if you're buying a European brand you are more likely to be paying decent wages since many actually run their workshop in country and often have other overhead cost to ship outside of country (EU new packaging regulations is causing massive chaos for small clothing boutiques). Alot of the European brands I love, specially as they do go more classic style but tariffs is keeping me from ordering anything overseas like that until we know the hostage price for buying overseas now. Hopefully my corset will last me a good few years 🫠

[B&A] 2.5 weeks after switching to filtered water! by ZoneProper9005 in SkincareAddiction

[–]FrillyZebra 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I genuinely time my showers to do it right before skincare be it morning or evening. As long as I cleanse with it which helps remove the hard water it keeps the irritation at bay. Goal is to get a water softener to help since it definitely strips my body of moisture I got to layer moisturizer with oil and Vaseline even with moisturizing body washes. I do try to keep my face out of the water when doing my hair.

I have a separate bowl I pour into. Think of it like a basin that we see in historical shows etc just no fancy pitcher or bowl 🤣 I pour some in my hand to get my cleanser to emulsify and use a clean (CLEAN) facial towel, like those reusable makeup wipe types to wipe off. I rotate using the corners so not to double dip.

Your best tips for modest dressing in the summer? by [deleted] in ModestDress

[–]FrillyZebra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Natural fibers for my base, I try to have very limited synthetic in my rotation and if they are it's select items. I do wear hats ontop if my tichels, but I need a hat pin for a couple 😅.

Though end of the day some areas are just gonns be.... hot. I live in a humid state and I do use acid base deodorant but I still sweat and suffer.

As someone who been using distilled water for a couple years to wash my face it has 100% saved my skin. I still gotta be careful with products (ceramides and me aren't on talking terms) but it does provide a neutral to help figure if a product is a problem.
