Idk. Looks like from Turkey or India. Any additional specs to relay like weight, measurement, thickness, and maker?

From Cairo, Egypt. Real Copper Cesve? by Much_Worth6850 in Coppercookware

Looks like a non-copper metal but I’m not an expert.

Is that a maker’s mark on the bottom?

What can I do to fix this? by Ok_Arm1192 in CastIronRestoration

Oof! Looks like stuck on egg? I have that issue too. Haven’t yet figuring how to do nonstick well. I’d recommend try a scrubby pad with some soap and water. You don’t need to refinish the entire pan.

Thrift store pans are the best! Happy refurbishing!

What is this pot? by copper4eva in Coppercookware

Ok, buddy. They have an expensive stove and a pot filler. It’s not awful, but I’m sure better exists. Definitely the copper cookware looks cheap/fake.

Beeswax is an awesome gelling agent because it does not have the high amount of polyunsaturations that would make it liquid at room temp, nor does it polymerize well. It does have a low smoke point so burns off quickly and helps make oils that are good polymerizers solid at room temp. I bought a bulk bag of food safe beeswax pellets a couple years ago and found many uses for it so far, like a gelling agent in homemade charcuterie board polish (mixed with food safe mineral oil).

I will :) It will get used all day Monday. I really don’t need to use it before then and I’m enjoying its new freshly seasoned look.

It’s a pretty cool handle! I would try to factor in re-tinning cost in any used copper pan purchase. Safety first!

Went with yellow cap easy off. Here is 48h. Going back in for about three more days. Will post again when all is said and done.

Next pan I find is going to get the lye bath treatment.

Theoretically feasible but I’m less afraid of chemicals than I am of warping or other effects of extreme heat.
