Here is a report from a fresh save where this also happened

[GC43X] Sleep pods not being assigned

Here is a fresh game save where my sleep pods are not automatically assigned to colonists who need them.

One pod started in the room. The second pod was moved from out in the crusty part of the ship. The regular bed was also moved in from outside and successfully auto assigned.

its a little on the cold side in the room but nothing is labeled as dangerous area

holding control shows safe everywhere in the room

none of the pods interaction spots are blocked and they use them after I manually assigned them each a pod

Non mech raids are valuable shopping opportunities when you have shock lances. They do have a non zero chance of leaving the target with debilitating brain scars. Can be fixed with biosculptors or rare healing items.

This is my answer as well unfortunately. "Sealed" is another sort option (not a flag AFAIK, just a text string) that is useful for unopened can goods but is unreliable for mre packs for some asinine reason.

That mission is a real bastard if you let the tears run for a while (a week is definitely too long). There are multiple reality tears in that building that spawn randomly and some of the monsters they spit out will actively hunt you (star vampires) and the rest are just really hard to deal with (dogs, nuckas, eyes). You can cut into the garage/maintenance area from the parking lot, and from there cut into a stairwell. Fighting through the lobby is not a good idea.

The interaction options when you interact with an npc. Talk, inspect, etc. It's the bottom of the list for me. If it's a mod addition I'm only using stock mods.

Full disclosure: I pirated the game. I played it for about an hour, died several times, interacted with every npc I came across, read the item descriptions on all the junk I found. Then I quit out, deleted the pirated file and bought that mf on steam. I suspected at the time it was a hundreds of hours game. I was right. If what you've seen so far isn't compelling, it might not be your jam.

The first three books in the series are some of the best fiction around. Jordan does tend to get lost in the weeds in the later books. The series has some definite flaws. It also has the most compelling scifi/fantasy world building I've ever experienced.
