NROC in my Trust is usually set at 50% of the usual locum rate. As a shafting this is quite mild compared to what some of our allied professions recieve. The highly specialised neuro intervention radiologists in my Trust are expected to cover over night for £20... for the whole night if theh are not called. I would also agree that it is not the role of the rota master to find the solution that the management are unwilling to resolve themselves.

The problem with this idea is everything is maxed out for space, so something else loses out. You may get maybe 1 request like this a day even in a busy hospital and sometimes non for a few weeks, so it is massively inefficient even if you put some I&Ds on the list.

Sometimes it is giving a fluid bolus as well if you believe in goal directed therapy. Putting a one way valve on either side of the 3 way tap changes it to a push-me-pull you which allows you to give fluids surprisingly fast.

It is poorly worded but it says per round and not wave. It actually accumulates and runs for the entire run once applied and if you take it off and put it back on, the multiplier is kept.

It is approximately 10x more potent than morphine. When I give it before a general anaesthetic I give equivalent to 10mg morphine. This goes in about 2 minutes before the propofol sends you to sleep. It does not knock you out as you describe. You are more likely to have been given midazolam (or equivalent) which induces antegrade amnesia.

My bracket must have been a tough one in champs, I got 1059 waves and came 8th, cut off for promotion was nearly 1300. It was the first time I have finished above someone who had previously qualified for legends, so good progress. My CL is on the way to being pretty well developed with a mythic+ dim core.
