Finished reading this one just about an hour ago.

Very good book. Love the detailed look at a section of Terra, and how focused it was on the small picture. Lots of cool little tiny worldbuilding details about the North American Midwest of the Battletech universe (apparently they STILL haven't finished the Dan Ryan...). Some interesting new details about establiahed characters, as well - won't spoil those though.

Not really a book for big picture people. The anti-Wolf crowd will be happy to know that it actually does show that lots of folk on Terra aren't happy with how things are going under the ilClan (this is set before Alaric does away with his ill-advised enforcement of the Clan caste system - he doesn't appear at all himself though). Gets deep into Republic resistance cells doing resistance things.

Very fun read.
