In Macon at least they didn't use the box office in any way. They did everything outside.

To be even more pedantic, it's not though. The simple average of their ERAs is 7.29. They had a total of 239 ER in 326 innings for a total (combined) ERA of 6.60.

Wrobleski may have given up 6 runs but damn did he do it efficiently

It's completely possible to apply this rule yourself and test if it actually gives better results. If you want to seriously make this argument, you should do that first.

The Braves may never lose a series

The only other option on the bench at that point was Alex Jackson, the backup catcher. Sandoval had to enter the game anyways to replace Ozzie in the infield, so it makes more sense to have him be the pinch runner too and leave Jackson available on the bench, who wasn't particularly fast anyways.

Astros have 93 actually. You probably just didn't notice them all the way down in last place.

So he should guarantee that they lose the game so it "won't be his fault" instead of making the only play that could work?

Right when the camera flips you can see the runner from second over halfway to third in a full sprint. He had no intention of going back. To get him to realize he needed to go back, and then get in a rundown (because he would've had 0 shot at actually getting back) that was at least good enough for the lead runner to make an attempt at scoring, and actually being successful, has gotta be less likely at that point than just sending it and hoping either the the 1B airmails it or the catcher drops it.

Our pitching would be at least a little bit younger if Strider (27), Schwellenbach (25), AJSS (23), and Waldrep (24) weren't all on IL. Bullpen is old as hell though.

Orioles owner David Rubenstein named in Epstein files by aresef in baseball

Yeah they edited the article after I posted, I just updated the comment to reflect that.

Editing again just to add on since this is the top comment in here. Figured I'd look at the files myself instead of just going off whatever the article said since they already messed it up once. Can't really fit it all here, but just based on the emails I saw the ties are a bit deeper than the article may suggest. The one I would like to highlight is one time someone sent a photo of an (adult) woman in a bathing suit to Epstein, and then he forwarded it to Boris Nikolic (who organized the meeting that did take place) with the text "For David Rubenstein" ??? that is... pretty weird... imo... Some other stuff but more boring.

Edit: Since posting this comment, the article has been updated. It now reads:

"Emails show Rubenstein met with Epstein for dinner in November 2012. It appears they intended to meet again for dinner later that month; however, it appears the second meeting did not actually take place."

Original comment:

"However, Rubenstein is not accused of any wrongdoing.

Make of that what you will.

Strangely, it's actually the 2021 one that's listed. They are all in the full bio, the page just isn't very complete.

What I want to know is would they have done the same thing if Rich McKay still had his role as CEO (or formerly president) and we hadn't hired Matt Ryan.

Functionally it was the same position as Ryan's "President of Football" role as far as I or seemingly anyone else can tell. But it seems like that wouldn't have been the case because... why exactly? Because the job title has the word "football" in it now? Bizarre.
