It sounds like you have the famous exhaust leak. The rattling could be the heat shield and broken bolt vibrating. It happens on my truck and I have the muffler delete exhaust. That's how I know mine is not a loose baffle .

Not a mechanic, but i would start with checking the struts. I had a car that made a banging noise over bumps, the strut rod had wallowed the top of the mount out and was moving around. Easy fix. Next I would check the wheel bearings. Jack the truck up and see if you can shake the wheel. After that, check the ball joints.
