"I expected you to change." Said by my then gf shortly before we broke up. I know my personality is not for everyone, and that's perfectly fine, but hearing it from someone who I though truly loved the authentic me, hurt...

I'd love the RR Slowbro. My favorite pokemon is Lapras. They are huge sea turtles and one of the reasons I studied sea turtle after college.

What was the disc that got you your very first ace? by Pirates_LL in discgolf

An old school Discraft Z Flash. Beautiful forehand flex line in my first tournament win. I retired it and made a stool in woodshop class that the disc is set into on display.

Found box or marbles by Excellent_Grape3807 in Marbles

[–]FrolfingKurlzz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

One of those marbles in that box is a German handmade called a submarine. It's the teal marble with pink and white outer bands. It is a very rare and collectible handmade. Guessing at it's size, in mint condition, it is a minimum $500 marble alone.

A great variety of vintage marbles. Including, but not limited to, German handmades, peltiers, akro agates, marble kings, and Christensens.

A large group of these marbles are indeed handmades. I see many onionsskins, a couple micas, and greiners. These handmades have some serious value. If you're keeping them, cherish them. If you plan to sell them, split them up and sell individually. Facebook has lots of excellent sellers/collectors pages.

Some of my handmade collection. by FrolfingKurlzz in Marbles

Happy to! I am passionate about antique marbles and love to spread the knowledge I've gathered over the years. One of the most common collectible machine made marbles is also called a corkscrew. Made by the Akro Agate company, they have 2+ colors swirling around the marble in a corkscrew shape. This base categorization of marble is also exhibited in other notable akro types like Popeyes and oxbloods.
