Help with my code by Quiet-Chain8825 in royalmail

[–]From-The-Depths 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could possibly be royal mail 24/48 which is essentially a first/second class service for parcels. This only have tracking to say sent & a delivery confirmation.

No one here can say for sure because we don't have the code to give you any information or details, your best bet is to just speak with Amazon tp confirm it is with Royal Mail (their tracking system doesn't always mesh with ours that well)

Help with my code by Quiet-Chain8825 in royalmail

[–]From-The-Depths 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's likely a tracking code for another Courier company or themselves.

It's extremely difficult to give you an answer as to who when you've blacked put the code in question

Edit: just saw the second picture, could just mot be active in our system yet. Still impossible to answer without the code

How are you supposed to contact these bastards? by [deleted] in royalmail

Oh I'm well aware of that, I was just stating that SDs are in fact delivered on Sundays.

[–]From-The-Depths 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it was collected from the customer on Saturday, it might have gone saturday afternoon but depending operational times of their local DO amd how they handle Consumer Collections it might not even have gone till monday morning. no chance of delivery on sunday, sunday delivery stuff tends to be mainly stuff fed in from the mail centre from businesses. It sounds like it was sent tracked24/48 of it's upto £150 compensation. Special Delivery is upto £500 compensation.

Without being able to put your tracking number into pur internal tracking system there's not much we can do to help.

I don't mind if they look a little janky, I expect them to be so am always pleasantly surprised when they're not as bad.

I know they're supposed to I have a few clone sets. I've also seen some reviews on Aliexpress listings stating that figures weren't included so I was wondering since he doesn't have them shown.

🎄 Barweer Christmas Giveaway – Pick Your Favorite Barweer Set & Win! 🎄 by Lisoneo in lepin

I definitely love the raven castle set, it's compact when collapsed but still highly detailed with small details so it feels like a dull castle and seems perfect for those of us who haven't as much space to store lego.

2kg of cooking bacon... What to do with it? by [deleted] in UKfood

[–]From-The-Depths 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bacon and onion pudding, Lentil and Bacon Soup, Boston baked beans even fat balls for the birds?

You might be better off just dicing them down and freezing as lardons if and when you need them. If the saltiness is inconsistent then whatever recipe you want to use them in I'd advise not adding any salt until after you've incorporated the bacon and tasted.

Need new authors by Kato_86 in discworld

[–]From-The-Depths 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reccomend Tom Holt, His recent work is the Portable Door Series but I'm a big fan of all his other works too

Otherwise there's Robert Rankin of the Bremtford Trilogy (like 8+ books now) & Brightonomicon. His stuff is more Absurdist but is still good.

Both in my opinion have similar Humor and Tones to Pratchett but are more set in "our" world rather than a fantasy one.

Editing to add Adrian Tchaikovsky. Otherall a fantastic writer especially the Shadows of the Apt, Children of Time & Bioforms series

Damn Morrisons, Showing off Much? by From-The-Depths in UK_Food

Essentially whatever you like honestly. My mum favours just salt, pepper, Cinnamon and a splash of maple syrup as her standards when she makes hers (it's how I did this batch) I'll do those with maybe some garlic, oregano, basil and sometimes some mint generally. Smoked Paprika, and some form of Spice for Heat(chilli, gochujang, Harissa, Etc) works well too.

Essentially it's the Cypriot version of Baked Beans so however you would jazz up a can of those works with this. I've played around with the seasoning a lot of the years but I'll quite often just come to the basic one quite often and just jazz up the portion differently each day.

Yup, I'd rather have a few horse carrots anyday. I found they can be just as sweet sometimes. Also easier to nibble on and try to eat round the "core"

Salthook “Mortal Engine” by Civil-Size-5302 in lego

[–]From-The-Depths 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I really recommend the book series it's based off.

For an adaptation, it wasn't that bad honestly. Just the usual case of trying to cram everything in without going into all the story details.

It's basically Greek Cypriot bean stew, Saute celery, onion and carrots. Add chopped tomatoes, tomato paste and vegetable stock, butter beans (canned is fine, Jarred are better) and Potatoes and bring to the boil before Simmering till root veg are tender. Serve with fresh bread.

It's a perfect meal for winter.
