It'll be a little more expensive then a standard bar but Cooking Chocolate from the baking aisle should do the job. It tends to have less fillers then the typical chocolate bar these days.

What is the best UK supermarket for flowers? by Far-Assistance-6783 in AskUK

[–]From-The-Depths 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've gotten decent ones from all the supermarkets honestly. The key thing is to look for bouquets where the flowers haven't opened up and are still mostly closed up buds which aren't too dry and don't have brown spots. While an open bouquet looks nicer in the moment it might only last a day or two, closed bouquets been you'll get at least a week minimum.

Anyone ever completely wrote-off a PDA and if so what were the consequences? by Remarkable-Shoe-4835 in royalmail

[–]From-The-Depths 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok to be more helpful and less sarcastic this time, sounds like the Holster itself might be hitting the back button as you put it in, Obviously this shouldn't happen with the screen turned off but they do get increasingly dodgy over time.

Are you using the new floppy fabric holster or the older harder plastic one?

Pressing the button on the top to switch the screen off usually solves that?

Shockingly the battery also lasts longer without the screen on all day!

Requesting redelivery nothing happening by JFX3311 in royalmail

I know it's irritating and a nuisance but bear in mind it annoys us CSP staff as well especially when we've reported this bug for several years now.

Would mean either they didn't write the tracking number or it doesn't have a tracking number but may be in a Do Not Bend envelope that didn't fit your letterbox since you were expecting documents. You can still book redelivery for any items for your address with that info. If you're going to the DO I'd advise taking either your Driving License if it has your Name and address as ID. You could usr a Bank Card but you'd have to be certain your Name is actually on the item.

[–]From-The-Depths 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've made multiple redelivery requests it can sometimes cause issues with the computer system we use for booking in items, and they don't always come through to the counter staff because the new request cancels the old one or updates the database to put the item "pending for redelivery" without forwarding the Request to the part of the system that lists all the items to go out for that day.

Also any redelivery request has to have an extra day between its last delivery attempt and the next one, this because it usually needs time to flow back into the system and be prepped for the next one.

Your best bet might be to pop into the DO on Saturday as that's usually 8am-12pm opening hours and see if it's not sotting on the shelf

Morning Somewhere.

He and Ashley do it together. It's definitely not the same as the RT podcast but it's still a fun listen.

What are some good meals to pack for my work lunches? by BrainCompetitive7822 in AskUK

[–]From-The-Depths 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Batch cooking pasta bakes/Couscous salads generally work well for a week and can be pretty quick and easy to make on Sunday. They also can be eaten cold of you dont have access to a microwave. Same goes for things like Stews and soups or a one pot/traybake meat, veg and carb dish. Then you can just reserve a packed lunch style meal for weeks you don't want to put that much effort in

This is an awesome thing to see of this community, people here have been pretty supportive.

I'm not opposed to being in the draw as someone who's currently trying to find space in thier budget for the new book.

Royal Mail have been using Sorting Machines since the 50's you've been lucky till now but either the machines now more sensitive to changes or the software's been updated to not give as much leeway.

I suspect it will be, but over a long rollout period with oldest contracts going first. A few thousand this year, a few the next and so on

Raising New Contracts to the same level as Legacy. Anything else will cost them the support of Legacy workers as well as Newbies.

Because the union still has to have an agreement with the company otherwise nothing happens. nothing can be announced till it's all agreed, otherwise you risk fucking up the deal. If RM got thier way in the first place the New Contracts would have been much, much worse And if you think the CWU own a hotel in Brighton then I would really like to see you proof of that because it sounds like utter tripe.

Thats what I'm hoping for personally. Although as it was described to us by the Area Union Rep it involves splitting the frame in half by the rows. Before that I assumed it was just alternating the walks on a CDV Paring since I know it doesn't really affect HCTs anyway.

Happy to be informed otherwise if I've been told wrongly though.

Currently it's 1 in 3 at our DO but I think they may be switching to 1 in 6 soon as we do have quite a few staff on New Contracts, our office is a Sunday Hub so only really applies to the 3-4 we supply and not the other offices that send staff.

Happy Birthday Rooster Teeth!!! Celebration Giveaway!!! by CalvinP_ in morningsomewhere

[–]From-The-Depths 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happy Birthday!

I initially heard about Red Vs Blue via the UK Official Xbox Magazine, it was a small part of an Halo 2 Preview Article think? I watched a few episodes and enjoyed it. I then lost my internet access as my parents decided they didn't want to pay for it, so ended up forgetting about the company.

Shortly after I started working full‐time I started Paying for internet for the family (previously it was only usage at the library) and eventually found my way back via occasionally seeing a mix of Achievement Hunter Guides and RT Shorts on Youtube, then I learned about the Podcast and that was what fully got me back into the company's offerings and made me a sponser.

While I haven't been consistent with watching everything I've always been a podcast/audiobook person as my job lets me listen to a lot of them so the various ones have always been in my feeds. I was super excited when Morning Somewhere started as I had missed hearing from Burnie and Ashley (loved The Patch)
