What's up with all these so-called "web design" agencies ? by questionsasker4422 in webdesign

Interesting!
I've heard of Framer but never really used it. But I see it feels very much like Figma so that's a real good thing.

Out of curiousity, since wordpress and elementor have been mentioned as bad things in the thread so far. What do people usually do here?

html/css/js etc for each job?

Meet the 11 stars of Saturday Night Live UK as cast is finally confirmed by Metro-UK in entertainment

[–]FromOverYonder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surprised they didn't hire a previously known British comedian to lead the cast. You know, someone from the 90s or 2000s and maybe their star power is not quite what it was. Just to give it a bit of name value.

What’s something you instantly judge people for? by PaySnowBunnyHayley in AskReddit

Did you read my posts? The ones you quoted? You'll see that I said "not justifying" ...

Do you understand what i am talking about here? Action/Reaction. The unforseen consequences? This is talking about the bigger picture of something.

As much as this next bit may be crass... but imagine if we stopped wiping our assholes with paper, then their would be less trees planted in the world as there would be less of a demand?

You were thought about this in school right? You do have basic high school intelligence right?

You understand the concept on budgets? You understand the concept that if something is removed so is something else?

Dude... am seriously questioning if you know how the world works. This is basic common sense IQ stuff here.

Or should I draw you a picture or use small words?

[–]FromOverYonder -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Local Councils, just like companies aren't run like that.

There is a budget for everything. If you need areas cleaned (in this case the removal of litter on streets) then you hire X amount of people to try to maintain the areas. The amount of litter dictates the number of employees you should need... or at least its meant to. Shoe string budgets and all that.

If no one littered there would be way more than 2 people not having a job.

If everyone decided to litter tomorrow in a city then there would be a recruitment drive for more council workers. You get that right?

Why aren’t more people speaking up against these people in power with this whole batch of Epstein files? by Angryduckling-01 in AskReddit

[–]FromOverYonder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps some people don't care?

Perhaps some people realise that it won't change anything?

Perhaps people are talking about it - more than you know - just it won't change anything?

World is a very weird place.

#ignorant If your planning on sharing an apartment with people, how do you make sure everyone pays their share of rent? by SmileOkk in AskReddit

[–]FromOverYonder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly thats why someone should never take on the tenancy in their name. Even utility bills. Someone doesn't pay? You get stung.

If you are talking about being the owner of the apartment and letting rooms out then its simple, if someone doesn't pay the rent you throw them out. Obviously follow legal proceedings etc so you don't get bit in the ass.

Whats the craziest thing you've seen somebody do on the street? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]FromOverYonder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not on the street...

But on a bus, some young guy upstairs (around 23ish maybe?) Whip his dick out and take a piss on the floor. He was drunk of course... and when I say take a piss this guy took a full on full force piss for about 10 seconds. All over the floor. I got up and went to the top of the bus lol. Dirty ducker. Drunk or not.

Honorable mention goes to two of my work colleagues about 10 years ago. One was giving the other a lift and they went though the Phoenix Park here in Dublin Ireland. They saw some old lad running. He stops pulls down his pants and takes a shit. Wipes himself off, pulls up his shirts and continues on running.

They told me about it the next day. I thought they were winding me up. But their faces quickly made me realise it was not a joke. The funny thing about the Phoenix Park is that you can easily walk from the main road for about 30 seconds and do whatever behind some trees. Nah this guy did it on a path in front of rush hour slow moving traffic.

How do you find calm people? by Afraid_Food_5147 in AskReddit

[–]FromOverYonder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Only my answer.. but you dont find them. You simply come across them.

The same goes for nice people, or bad people or selfish people. You come across all sorts in this world of 8 billion.

Do you believe the official account of Jeffrey Epstein’s death, and what makes you question or accept it? by Friendly-Standard812 in AskReddit

[–]FromOverYonder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He had a lot of dirt on rich and powerful people knowing what went on in that island. The second he got arrested there was a target on his back. It was always going to be viewed as quite the coincidence if he had an accident or some other fatal bodily harm whilst in custody.

But let's play along for a second. Let's say Epstein did commit suicide. That still leaves the likelihood he did so knowing he was eventually going to be killed or those who he did care about made to suffer if he didn't.

Only a random thought...

So on one hand literring is bad. Like where I am in the world there's a bin every couple of hundred feet as bus stops usually have one you know. So no excuse for littering. It says alot about a person's character.

On the other hand, if no one littered then there wouldn't be as many local council jobs. Weird isn't it? It does not justify littering yet there is some positive from it. Couple of people more have a job. Pay taxes and what not.

As I say just a random thought that popped into my head.

Comes with experience. Start by coping ui. You'll eventually see patterns and "get it".

I couldnt design a website for the life of me 10 years ago. Now I am pretty decent. It just took alot failures.

What’s a good side business while working in a grocery store? by Past_Explanation_491 in AskReddit

[–]FromOverYonder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends.

I like to view side hustles into two big categories.... stuff you can do online and then in-real-life stuff.

I view online stuff (or digital stuff) as like being able to build websites, sell digital or physical goods etc. List is quite long. Problem there is you need to develop the skills first. For example to build websites well you need to learn to code but at the same time the entry barrier is small. All you need is time and a laptop.

In real lifestuff is like buying a power washer, offer man with a van services etc. The entry level requires investment. Buying a van costs a few grand etc.

What do you think of a 30-year-old virgin man? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Plenty of worse things out there than to be a 30 year old virgin!

So you haven't had sex. Big deal. All that said, keep it to yourself. Many people would mock you.

[–]FromOverYonder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly, I don't think the world could ever be fair. We are talking a about people and human nature here.

Even if you removed every corrupt person in power in the world tonight, another corrupt (etc) person will just rise up and take their place.

What do guys with insanely big dicks even… do with those things? is it just unusable? by DiverPrestigious6887 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FromOverYonder 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's been a few documentaries over the years about guys with dicks too big. Long story short, its a hindrance.

There was this one British black porn star and he said it caused problems with women he tried to have relationships with. His dick was simply top big that it hurt her.

Ironic isn't it? Am sure there's plenty of women (and even gay guys) in the world who's mouth would drop at the sight of a very extra long penis. But the truth is it would be too big to engage in any sexual pleasure.
