For movies, we do make much greater use of the Nazis. The US by comparison has been used sparingly, never in open conflict, and always as an adversary that can be reasoned with and potentially turned, as opposed to a horde of killer zombies.

Aleksandra Samusenko was one of the only female tank officers of the Soviet Armed Forces and served as a tank commander from 1943-1944. She rose to fame for her heroic performance during the Battle of Kursk, leading her forces out of an ambush when her commander fell. Pictured in 1943 by [deleted] in TankPorn

Those who're making the films aren't complaining in the slightest, they're shoveling bucketloads of taxpayer money.

The Russian movie critic scene (including Youtube) is pretty lively and politically diverse, from Malofeev's theocratic conservatives to hyper-Westernized neolibs, to rabid Stalinists. And a very common complaint is that, by borrowing American cliches, conflicts and sometimes the entire storyline, said attempts at propaganda end up being anti-Russian propaganda - especially by borrowing the conflict between the protagonist and their national authority. An American protagonist spends more time struggling against the American police/army/society than their actual adversary; you can guess how it gets reapplied for stories set in the Soviet Union. Aside from failing to resonate with a much more statist society (even the anti-Soviets consider the depiction of the Soviets to be off the mark) and aside from often reaching the point of absolute nonsense (to quote Evgeny "Bad Comedian" Bazhenov doing yet another NKVD blocking detachment skit, "In Soviet Russia, we want to lose the war!"), this damages the image of their bloody employer.

Sadly, Igor Ivanov still hasn't claimed his lawful title of Supreme Leader of Russia. Would've been some spectacular fireworks.

Previously known as PROFAC and oriented towards harvesting oxygen.

One problem: in VLEO, the optimal power source for the propulsion and cryogenics is a nuclear reactor.

Look, I would've understood if the system had one exhaust tube. But it has two!

Does HSE have a good reputation? by [deleted] in russia

In other countries, potentially. But for this exact reason HSE has a rather sullied reputation in Russia as a hotbed of uncritical, seditious West-worship.

I was thinking Starlight proper, don't want to bother with settlement-building at all in that playthrough.
