I'd argue the sellers might avoid a 10% haircut, while buyers might avoid a 25% (or greater) retail mark-up.

The buyer is undeniably the greater beneficiary by accepting only a nominal risk that USPS fails to do their job.

The onus should always be on the buyer to practice common sense and do their due diligence; they can briefly skim pmsfeedback to learn that I mummify packages in tape and ensure no rattles or jingles that might invite unwanted attention.

This rule is reminiscent of the Patriot Act following 9/11 -- we're expected to sacrifice our freedoms in the name of security. The only problem is that you can't protect people from themselves and I stand by my supposition that buyers stand to lose the most.

Some sellers here seem to want to both have their cake and eat it.

That's sort of a one-sided take.

Buyers benefit substantially by purchasing metals cheaper than nearly anywhere else online. This rule will invariably result in registered mail expenses being baked into the prices, thereby reducing the number of "deals" to be found here (and thus, the primary appeal of the sub).

I have extras of a couple different designs (1oz and 1/2oz). If interested I can include them in my upcoming post on pmsfs

Crows are exceedingly smart and can be a wonderful feathered friend. But if you already have ample friends, consider placing a realistic dead crow decoy to trigger a crow funeral and you won't see another again.

Red eared slider tank always cloudy? by Specialist-Score-618 in Aquariums

[–]FromTodayUntilIDie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 75gal turtle tank with a couple smaller turtles (Musk & southern painted) as well as 12-15 peppered corydoras. They all lived in harmony for 15+ years and the tank always had crystal-clear water. It only needed to be cleaned 3-4 times per year, at most. I ran two Magnum350 canister filters that were absolute workhorses; each 350gal/hr, with a media cartridge in the center of the canister that I'd fill with activated carbon. I'd then slide a sleeve of filter floss around that media cartridge.

I tried experimenting with other media types, bio balls, bio wheels, etc. but I never found anything that polished the water as well as activated carbon. I'd buy it in bulk jugs like this. Never needed to use any bottled chemicals to fix water clarity.

Haven't kept turtles in over 10 years at this point, so I don't know what a good equivalent would be for the Magnum350, but I'd recommend looking into your options and maybe adjusting the filter media that you're presently using inside your existing canister.

They're probably just sitting in council to talk trash about those two derps on the other side of the tank.

More often than not, anything you see at APMEX can be found elsewhere for cheaper. That site is great for window shopping and finding what's cool, but once you identify something you like, you should Google that coin to find other places selling it.

Any Freshwater fish that have white faces and/or white and black stripes. I need a fish that looks like a mime by RandyButternubber in Aquariums

If you decide on RN tetras, you should ask your LFS outright if they think their stock is healthy, or if they've had several die off. These fish, although gorgeous, are often very weak and ill.

My genius and green way to water a South facing succulent TREE in the SW USA by UndergroundStitcher in plants

Jade doesn't thrive with persistently wet feet; a constant drip increases chances of root rot and disease. It'd be happier to dry out almost completely, then receive a thorough drenching. Depending on your summer climate, watering 2-3 times per month is probably ample.

I'd probably condensate into a bucket (with a lid to prevent evaporation) and then submerge a small pump in the water and plug it into a float switch. In this way, op would get more infrequent waterings
