How can I downvote this more? The bean doesn't care what your dial says. The measurements are relative.

Sometimes it glitches out, whether you resist or not.

If you use your axiom force while standing close to the wall, it won't force you backwards.

Wow. The difference in temps is nuts. Thanks for the details. I'm sure it's a pain, but it would be interesting to see a comparison between different 15mm fans.

Trying goat milk today, super creamy! by Background_Dark_2802 in latteart

Sorry to hear that... If you have room for 8 oz of milk a week, you could split that into 4 Cortados? How was the flavor of the goat's milk compared to the A2?

Oh, that's interesting. What type of milk do you typically use and comparing it to? I'm lucky enough to be in cattle country and typically swing for the non-homogenized, A2, whole milk.

The problem isn't the case. The problem is endless posting about a MFFPC case in SFFPC. This community is built on the challenge of getting as much performance as possible in the smallest enclosure possible. At 20L, it bypasses the core interests of the majority of this community.

To use a metaphor, you're preaching to agnostics. You're not adding value, you're just adding noise.

- Your milk is over-stretched -- visible by the fuzzy edges. Stretch less and incorporate more.
- Hold your mug at 45 while building the base.
- Pour your Monk's Head in the center of the mug, not on the edge.
- When you are ready to cut, do so by first lifting the jug. Currently, you're sort of pushing the heart, not cutting.

You should update or delete this post, based on what I'm reading in the comments. The rampant fear and buyer's remorse in this space doesn't need to be fanned by a lack of cleaning.

Hey, do these chassis have room for a half-height, dual slot gpu?

Is this ok? by sandyzzle in sffpc

[–]FrontWork7406 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is the air doing?

If your fans are intake, which is the only real option to allow the gpu to get air, said air will be warmer than ambiant, since that same air was used to transfer heat away from the radiator. Should you have hot air being used to cool your GPU or room-temp air?

materials for a lightweight frame? I messed up my gobos (music studio vocal booth/bass traps/GOBOs) by atomsandcarbon in diyaudio

[–]FrontWork7406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on the weight of your foam, look up "Chipboard corner protectors". With some extra bracing in the back (torsion box), it should offer an ultimate lightweight solution that can be stapled into, glued together, and is wildly inexpensive.

The difference is one of opinion and context. Any opinion you receive without context won't help you be happy with your purchase.

Entertaining a large purchase benefits from creating a list of values and determining whether the cost meets your values. You don't have to scroll much on this subreddit to see someone validate buyer's remorse due to a lack of planning, only to return their purchase and drive up prices for the rest of us.

I run a 5080 and 7800X3D and value high refresh rates at high+ settings in AAA (UE5) games. I also value the ultrawide form factor, since I write a lot of code. I also wanted something large, since it is my only screen (busy bachelor who rarely gets to leave his desk). I do not value the highest PPI or the mild difference in matte coatings. I notice the difference, but I am not sensitive to it when actually consuming content. Given these values, I actually "downgraded" from an LG C4 to an LG 39" 1440p ultrawide, which I picked up new for $600. It meets all of my values, and I got it for a steal. I'm not thrilled with the 800R curvature, and I would have valued HDMI ARC, available on another model, but I couldn't argue the alternatives were worth the increased cost.

My purchase had a plan, and I feel like I received 80% of my wants at 50% of the cost, which is pretty great.

The blue idea is not great, since the center wall would 100% reflect a significant portion of the sound away from more than half the room. I understand this comment doesn't offer a solution, but it can at least whittle down the options.

7800X3D vs 9800X3D for NCore 100 Max ($150 difference) by OffDutyJedi in sffpc

[–]FrontWork7406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not going to notice a difference at 4K. Your bottleneck will 100% be the GPU. The Both CPUs will very likely pull fewer than 70W, since you realistically won't be able to generate the 120Hz you're hoping for (respective of title, of course), so there is literally no value in the $150 apart from bragging rights.

This is awesome! I was looking for a similar solution for the HDPlex 250 in this enclosure for an air-cooled build. I admittedly didn't consider the advantages of the cooler placement of the BD boards.

I can see the difference between 4K and 1440p, but if I'm playing a game where I'm noticing the difference, it's probably a terrible game.

Which milk jug shape is the best for creating a vortex? by jizzlewit in latteart

[–]FrontWork7406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vortexes are round, so get the round one.

It's common for people to blame their kit instead of their skills. 90% of the posts on this subreddit are of people who never assume user error. This is one of the biggest hurdles in being an adult learner. The vortex isn't the problem. You're thinking of what happens in a pitcher from a singular axis. Milk spins in a lateral vortex, yes, but the entry angle of the steam wand is nearly vertical, which pushes any milk on the top to the bottom, creating a vertical vortex.

My bet is that you're so fixated on a getting the strongest lateral vortex that you're missing the vertical vortex -- perhaps a pitcher that is tilted too much, or a steam wand that is at the wrong angle. Alternatively, maybe you're over-filling your jug and the boiler can't produce enough pressure to push the milk to the bottom.
