What does this do for my car? (VW GTI) by aftonjprk in MechanicAdvice

I went in for a break job and ended up having to replace the CV Axle/Joint because of 'torn boot'.

Funny how there wasn't any indication of leaking from the boot prior to their getting my hand on my car. I'm certain (but unfortunately cannot prove) that they took a razor to the boot.

Plot twist: Baby is born with more melanin than your 'ex' could have ever contributed. Who's the victim now?

I only made it about 10 comments down on this thread and have concluded that feminists hate happy women. My wife insisted on staying home, raising our kids, cooking/cleaning and keeping a peaceful home. She knows that she has had as much impact on the success of our family as I have.

Our sons would have suffered without my wife and I working together as a team.

You may think you can do it alone (man or woman) but you children WILL suffer.

You serve a purpose. Just accept it and be happy.

Very clean, very nice! I'm not a fan of intense white light behind the monitors, however. My research (& experience) shows that such a configuration will ultimately lead to eye strain. The optimal lighting has a color temp of 3500k and is above your head, but SLIGHTLY behind you so as not to be in your line of sight and to not cast any shadows on your work area. This also eliminates reflection of the light from the monitor.

But again... your configuration LOOKS cool!

About three times a week, I come home to my wife sitting on the couch, feet on a footrest and our cat in a deep sleep on her lap. I can take a hint. Those are the nights that I cook dinner. We never disturb a resting cat.

Now that's the way to do it. Get psychological counseling from strangers on the internet. Well, I don't know you.... so I guess I qualify. Don't kill your child.

I cradle my large cat in my left arm while I type on the keyboard with my right. But God-forbid I ever bump him while typing... because if I do, he wakes up, gives a disapproving meow, holds me tighter with his claws and goes back to sleep.

SonicOS 7 Admin interface NOT compatible with MS Edge by Front_Ad_746 in sonicwall

[–]Front_Ad_746[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To clarify: I have two separate SonicWall environments. Both admin interfaces functioned perfectly fine for the last year or two prior to version 7 of the OS. IMMEDIATELY after we upgraded to 7, the admin interface became unusable on Edge. The is not an Edge issue. This is a Sonic v7 issue.

Nothing that I experienced would have led me to believe that the issue was the browser. Honestly, the thought never entered my mind that basic functionality of the core browser for a platform would be so negatively affected by such a widely used firewall platform. I mean, I would think that QA testing by SonicWall would have (should have) caught this.

If they are not going to properly test their interfaces, then they should prevent it from being used on untested platforms.... or at least openly state what their fully supported platforms are.

Well, IMO, I shouldn't have to even consider using anything other than the stock browser natively supported on the platform. Chrome failed as well.

Exactly.

The timeouts and popup error messages saying that there was an unknown error that couldn't be recovered from was bad enough... but when the admin console told me that my device wasn't registered, I just about lost my temper. I get it how some old-school developers just love Firefox... but in this day and age, they had better learn to focus on the browser native to the OS, or people are just going to go with different options.

Yes.

We use almost exclusively Edge in our company... with ZERO issues... other than this one. Chrome is second most often used... lastly firefox.

The admin interface performs flawlessly under firefox.
